Atmosphere: luxurious feeling hotel at a very prime location. At the centre of all the touristic activities. Walking distance (<5 mins) to the sightseeing cruise. There is a nice chillax area facing the lake for you to have a cup of tea or smth. The rooms are high ceiling (or at least the one we had on the 4th floor), and it made the room feel bigger.

Service: very good and appropriate of this high-class hotel. We got family mart takeouts for dinner but thought we forgot our utensils, so we called the front desk to borrow chopsticks, and they delivered 2 pairs of chopsticks in pretty souvenir-like boxes. We were quite impressed about this.

We were, however, slightly disappointed that the hotel does not have coin laundry services. Nevertheless, do take note of this!

We got in late to two very nice men at the front desk who were helpful in planning our quick tour of the Hakone loop the next day before flew out of Narita. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and was very nice and spacious. What a view the next day! The view is better, I’m sure, from the higher floors but Mt Fuji was still a sight to see over the beautiful grounds and lake. Breakfast was fine, not huge, but hit all the necessary elements. We did not eat dinner there due to our late arrival. Elegant hotel with a helpful and welcoming staff.

Lovely hotel overlooking the lake and on to Mount Fuji. Not very big hotel but nice rooms, a small bar and good food. So peaceful.

The service team at the Hakone Hotel were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The evening dinners - Teppanyaki, and French cuisine respectively- were both excellent. And the location has outstanding views of Lake Ashi, Mount Fuji and the surrounding hills. We used as a base to explore the walking trails, the lake, the cable car to the volcano and over to Gora for its restaurants and museums. If you to Hakone this is the place to stay and to dine at.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location for quiet days. The staff were super nice and helpful. We booked the Japanese style room and were overwhelmed! It was a dream, beautifully furnished, very comfortable bed and an amazing view of Mount Fuji. The restaurants are rather expensive. But there are also good places to eat outside. The onsens were totally fine and super relaxing. You also have the harbor for a boat tour and the train station right next to the hotel. For us 5 out of 5 stars.

Great location on the bank of Lake Ashi. Many rooms, including the public rooms have Mount Fuji views (when there is no cloud). The staff don’t speak the best English, but they are extremely willing and helpful. Lovely breakfast on tables with linen tablecloths and properly laid - this made a change from the ‘canteens’ of many other 4 star hotels. Lovely onsen too.

Very convenient location and very helpful staffs. Also easy to access to rooms, only a few stairs steps.

The room is very spacious, comfortable, clean, fully equipped. There is also a Sona Bathroom. The dinner and breakfast buffets are quite delicious, diverse with Asian and European dishes, including Vietnamese Pho (although not authentically Vietnamese). Suitable for vacation travel.

As we arrived in the rain, the person who worked there ran out with umbrellas to meet us, which was a really lovely gesture and immediately made us feel welcome. We parked out bags and went out for lunch, when we came back they had kindly taken our bags up to our room and then we made our way down to the bar for a free welcome drink in a classy, elegant setting. The onsen was brilliant and we spend both the evening and mornings of our stay bathing to relax.

Great view to the lake and nice area to start trekking, ship cruise or bus drive to other spots around the lake. Service is good but sometimes we had restrictions, which seem to be a little inflexible. E. g. the bar tender ask my wife to choose a different seat to maintain the idea of 2 chairs each couple... fine usually but not in an empty bar 20 min. before closing.

Lovely hotel and staff. It's a short walk away from town but right on the water and you get a sneak peak of Mt Fuji.
The room was very spacious and clean.
We enjoyed a lovely cocktail from the bar with friendly service. Would stay again!

Just 4 minutes to the ferry harbour but far to any convince store. Better take bus to the nearest 7 eleven. Just next to the lake. Onsen just very normal.

Superb, luxury hotel with fabulous, to die for, views of Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji. Our lake view room was very large and comfortable with a sofa area looking out through the floor to ceiling window. Excellent service from all the staff who provide old world levels of customer care. High standard of interesting breakfast options. The French toast, which is very much more than toast, is delicious. The main restaurant is very expensive but the bar meals are decent value considering the location and service. We were given a 10% off vouchers for the restaurants. Free welcome drink every afternoon in the bar and 50% off happy hour from 5pm til 6.30pm. There are alot of restaurants locally but most close early evening. There were no taxis available during the evening unless booked in advance but the bus service runs reasonably regularly.

I only stayed for one night, but it was really relaxing. The hotel itself is beautiful, big hallway, luxury interior. The room also, I booked a double Single bed room with lake view. The room is extremely open, high ceiling, light colors, so much space! The bed is really comfortable.
The view from the window on sunny days is breathtaking.

Reception was really polite and courteous, both Check-In and ordering room service and questions via telephone.
Due to my short stay, I couldn't enjoy hot bath or the restaurants, but I will definetly remember this hotel when coming back to Japan as one of the best and I'm gonna stay longer next time!

Woke up to the beautiful lake view with Mount Fuji peeking from behind. The hotel room was spacious and they provide yukata for the public onsen, room robes for sleep wear and the bath tub was so big. I enjoyed the complimentary drinks lounge for people staying at the hotel. Hotel service was good.

I am really happy with my stay and would return to this hotel again given the chance 😊

🛌 My room was spacious, nicely furnished, and had an unreal view of the lake and Mt Fuji. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the bath was huge. I especially enjoyed the extra touches like the pod machine and comfortable slippers.

📍 Location wise, it is a bit out of the way. There are not many stores or places to eat within close proximity. The few that are there are either closed multiple days a week or have early closing times. If you're happy to catch the bus for a few minutes or to walk 20 mins, then you'll find many great food options and a convenience store. I think the more "secluded" location is heavily made up for in its stunning views, quietness, and comfortability.

🙋‍♀ The staff were all very kind during my visit. I was treated well by all. Everyone was well presented, and I appreciate that there was a consistent level of English.

💴 Overall, I think this hotel is good value for money. There are two beautiful onsen on sites, canoes, a nice outdoor area, bar and two restaurants. The only thing that could have improved my stay was if the hotel offered some sort of shuttle service, even if it was at an extra charge.

Thanks for having me 🌸
