Incredible food! We chose this place due to the many good reviews and we were not disappointed. Fresh pasta, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth a little detour from touristy streets.

The food here was absolutely incredible! We visited Osteria on our second night in Rome after looking at reviews. I highly recommend booking in advance as they book up fast! Luckily for us they were able to squeeze us in! My husband and I both had the Carbonara and it was amazing, really delicious!

The food was fabulous .

The staff recommended a post dinner digestif “Liquore Laurino” (liquor of laurel leaves) which is my favorite takeaway from Rome .

This is by far the best authentic Roman restaurant I have ever tried, we were hesitant between all the different dishes and names, nevertheless the waiter was super cool and took the time to provide suggestions and I don't regret anything of what was suggested. To start we took the most delicious carbonara and matriciana pastas we have ever had (be careful because the portions are big), there are no enough word to describe all the flavours we could taste. Additionally we took as a second dish "Coda a la vaccinara" (veal's tail) I know how it sounds but it was so tender and flavourful. Try the red wine, it's so delicious and tasty, nothing you might have probability tried before. Lastly we took a salad with anchovies sauce so delicious. This place is away from tye touristic area but it's really authentic and you won't find similar flavours anywhere else.

It’s just perfect in everything. Been there twice (January and November 2023) and both times food and service really made the difference! Enjoyable atmosphere and friendly staff, with a great selection of local traditional recipes and amazing prices.

Just funny, witty and great service. The restaurant was packed, but they still deliver with great efficiency and humour. The food is flavorful, so that also helps.

We had a shockingly bad pizza elsewhere so came here to quite literally get the taste out of our mouths. It did the job perfectly. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and helpful. The gricia with black cabbage was delicious. Thank you for fitting us in without a reservation.

Got recommended this place by a local (accommodation owner) and it exceeded my expectations. The server was super friendly and helpful and food was out of this world! I only stayed in Rome for a short time but I would consider coming back just for this food! Haha Ordered carbonara (best I have ever had), the ox tail and I can’t remember the name of the side dish but that was also amazing :)

Honestly stop searching Google for recommendations and just come here! Real traditional Rome food, passionately explained by the server. Really accomodating and thoughtful. We ended up trying three pasta dishes between 2 and they split the very generous portions into two plates and brought them out one by one for us. They were immense! Could not ask for more, will recommend to any friends coming to visit. Approx 45 euro for a glass of wine each, water and 3 dishes.
The wine was not our favourite but that's all I can say that is remotely negative!

Wonderful to be warmly welcomed and served delicious food after a long travel day. The owner and servers were warm and helpful, took the time to explain the menu, and seemed genuine in their passion for excellent food and service. The dishes were fantastic - al dente pasta, generous use of truffles, fall off the bone oxtail slow cooked for 6 hours, and a cold tripe entree that made us want to lick the plate. Not to mention exceptional Tiramisu. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Simply wonderfull!! Unassuming restaurant with a limited selection of humble and traditional roman food of excellent quality and fresh flavors. The service is extraordinary and prices are very affordable. Reservations are must as the place is tiny but very popular. If you want to experience real roman cuisine then this is the perfect spot!

Fantastic little place just over the road from our hotel (Domus Sessoriana). The food was fantastic as well as the staff, very friendly and accommodating people. Highly recommend anyone in the area to visit.

We had the most DELICIOUS carbonara and tiramisu here! Half our group are celiac and had no problems eating here - many gf options.

Italian cuisine is not just about pizza and tagliatelle alla ragú. We got to La Sol Fa for our last evening in Rome to get a taste of real Roman cuisine and we were not dissapointed. We were lucky as well to get a place opposite to the bar without reservation, not a regular table but nice comfortable enough, maybe more than the crowded tables which are staple for restaurants in italy.

My wife ordered carbonara, she just loves it and the bowl she got was flawless, the best carbonara I ever tasted. My pasta vas simple al amatricana and again - I have never had pasta this good even with several weeks spent in Italy over the last few years.

Then came the crown jewel - Coda alla Vaccinara (guess I am too squeemish for tripe) - the meat was falling off the bones, the suace was rich and tangy and I mopped the last drop of it with bread. And god was I full. Even the pasta may have been enough for dinner. The bib and wet towel were nice touch.

The meal was not cheap, nor it was expected to be cheap. Two bowls of superb pasta and plate of meat with bread, water and half a liter house wine was about 45 euros. I dont spend that much usually but I was happy with it. The meals were perfect and the service was outstanding. I have never seen servers in Italy to move so fast. It was a dance. As tourist I didnt feel like we were intruding (too much) but the crowd was definitely local and thats probably the best recommendation you can get - if its good enough for locals, its perfect for anyone.

I took a simple carbonara and Prosecco.
The pasta was simply good. But what’s best is the service. It does fell like a very tight-knit, family place. Many patrons are locals who are friends with the staff. It felt like crashing a family gathering. In the best of senses.

Best cacio e pepe pasta I've had in all of Rome! The tiramisu was delicious too but way overpriced for the portion size.
