Fantastic little trattoria filled with locals. The staff were very friendly. And most importantly the food was authentic Roman, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced and portioned. Would completely recommend (we ate, and LOVED the following: pecorino with honey, cacio e Pepe, oxtail pasta, tripa al romana, chicory)

Excellent lunch. Low key, very personal service. Great house wine. The meatballs and Carbinara were excellent. Highly recommend for all who want delicious food served by a charming wait staff.

I had the best gnocchi of my life here. Since then I haven’t been able to enjoy gnocchi anywhere else. Believe me, I’ve tried. I just don’t order it any more.
Back to the subject at hands. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

The staff was friendly and welcoming despite us being obvious tourists. They spoke English well and the gnocchi dishes they have on special on Thursday were hands down the best meal that we ate on our trip. The oxtail sauce was very good. We returned on another occasion and I again ordered the oxtail sauce with short pasta. The waiter recommended we try the boiled artichoke that was on special and I'm glad we tried it but it wasn't that amazing. I wish we could get gnocchi again here before we leave.

Leaking finger deliciousness…. Dripping in olive oil but that’s Nonna way. Traditional, simple, off the beaten tracks, unpretentious. 5 primi and 5 secondi dishes max on the menu. This really filled me with happiness. I know already i want to come back

What a great area. When I visited this location, I couldn't decide between 2 pasta dishes. So they made me "2 half pastas". The hospitality. The greatness. i can't wait to go back here.

Wonderful Cacio e Pepe and Alla Gricia! The quality / price ratio is excellent. The staff is very hospitable and friendly. The location is spot on too (for my taste). Perfectly a bit more quiet as just side of the main streets of Trastevere

Splendid, family run restaurant with typical Roman cousine. Food is excellent, so is the selection of wines. Great value for money.

Recommended in Everyman Mapguides to Rome, as a place to find traditional food in a family run business since 1938. Just off the main square of S. Maria in Trastevere, the food is well worth trying, especially the offal, tripe and other dishes only Italian chefs know how to cook.
A really great dining experience, not too crowded and friendly staff who know their food and wines.

Busy but welcoming family restaurant. Prices very good for the quality and portions (6 euro pecorino and honey appetiser pictured probably too much cheese, actually). Good and cheap house wine, friendly staff, very nice interior. Spaghetti cacio e pepe a must!

Great meat and vegetarian options, they even offered us things that weren’t in the menu. The seasonal tomato soup with bread and tiramisu were amazing. Very friendly service.

Very good value traditional trattoria. Great house wine! Try the oxtail and eat with your hands (as directed). Great wine suggestion too.

Beautiful gem hidden within the dense rush of Rome, a sanctuary for authenticity, taste and history. Thank you for thr hearty food, i would recommend it to anyone seeking legit Roman cuisine.

The staff is very special and welcoming.

Mind you the restaurant comes with a warning that its not for people looking for a quick meal because everything is made to order.

All the best and untill next time.

I read about this place before coming and was surprised to find it nearly empty when we arrived (this was the case not in many of the restaurants we went to on this trip, due to COVID reducing both tourist numbers and the frequency of locals going out, especially in central/ non-residential areas). The food was excellent, the portion sizes enormous, and the sisters that own the place were lovely hosts. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
