We had the Carbonara and were absolutely delighted!

Where do I start? The pasta was perfectly cooked - not too soft, not too firm, just right. It was drenched in a sauce that was a perfect blend of cheese and cream, with a slight kick from the flavorful pepper.

Topped with a light smoky note from the fried meat, it rounded off the dish perfectly. A true delight! The bruschetta wasn't exactly to my taste, but it was still delicious. We will definitely be back.

If you’re in Rome you absolutely must experience having a meal at this fraschetta romana.
The staff is very nice, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is something one must experience at least once in their life!

If available on the menu, I highly recommend the suppli a’abbacchio (fried lamb meatball) as appetizer, the pasta all’arrabbiata or the carbonara for the main dish. If you’re up for eating something with an acquired taste, go for the trippa alla romana (cow stomach linings).
And the maritozzo (fried sweet bun with cream) as a dessert!

They also serve decaf coffee - if you need something to settle after the meal in the evening hours ☕

FYI: If possible, try to get a reservation, especially for bigger groups. You might be lucky to get a table if you’re only two people.
Also, a fraschetta is similar to a trattoria. Meaning that it can get pretty loud.

Ordered the pasta carbonara and a small salad with anchovies on top. So good. The bacon was perfectly crisp and the sauce perfectly done. This was recommended to me by a local here in Rome who often eats here.

I wanna go again!!!! Love the carbonara! We ordered carbonara, amatriciana and roast pork which was an appetizer but could probably feed 3. Happy to say that everyone around us while dinning were Italians… meaning this is a real/legit go to place for the locals! They are quite busy though, when we arrived at 12nn, they told us they needed the table by 1:30pm but thats totally fine with us. This is just a note incase you wanna chill. But why chill when there are so many places to explore in Rome. Chill at night is better. Will definetely come back here!

A small but warm place with super staff. The food was tasty.
We tried
Apetizer for free!! Cacio e pepe fried past bellissimo
1. Bruschetta mix 5 pcs with sauces depending on the season for 9 euros which is really worth trying
2. Carbonara 12 euros that was better than other places!
3.Trippa alla romana cow tripe in tomato sauce (this plate is not for everyone) my suggestion is to add potatoes for no extra cost. I loved it it was the best thing from local cuisine I tried in all of our trip in Rome!!!!!!! <3 Really good job team
4.Abbacchio al forno con patate grilled lamb with roasted potatoes this one was 20 euros and it was ok.

Everyone should visit this place as it worth the money we paid for such quality food.

Great pasta place close to Castel Sant'Angelo. The carbonara is the best I had during my stay in Rome and I will recommend it to every friend.
Please do visit this place if you have the chance.
Prices are also great and very honest

3rd year straight in Rome in search of the best carbonara. I’ve found this place and I would highly recommend to anyone out there still looking high and low . Like most people , I usually find my place based on YouTube recommendations by influencer reviews. Now that I’ve tried most of the best place in rome . I can definitely say that this is ranked no.2 in my opinion after my fav king of carbonara place ( Google)!

A restaurant like this could be a Michelin standard by itself and definitely be a high end restaurant in so many other countries, yet this humble €12/- Carbonara is so perfectly done it’s unreal .

Even the so so ones served on a paper plate which I’ve tried further down at Vicolo del Cedro cost €14/- !

From the good quality eggs they used to get the nice yellow color , to the perfectly aldente spaghettoni , the perfect cream infused egg mix with well balanced Pecorino & Grana with guanciale fat to created the perfect taste not too salty and strong on the aroma with just the right amount of pepper and creaminess together with the crunchy style guanciale on top of it . I think I might have even tasted some guanciale skin too which was even awesome !! Just simply like what the Italians say Mama Mia and I would went on to visit the restaurant a 2nd time for dinner in 3 days knowing my high tasting palate would be satisfied.

Service was run by a group of cheerful young people mostly attentive , and always giving a warm smile to make you feel welcome . I made a reservation via WhatsApp from the local number provided on their website.

I’ve included some pics taken there on both occasions, do drool on it and mark it as a bucket list . You won’t regret it .

Great warm food, had the special veal ragout pasta and saltimbocca. Pasta fresh and pefrect tomato saltiness, Saltimbocca cooked to perfection inner soft, outside good crusty. Perfect fried potatoes aswell. Better than from air fryer. Just perfection. Got a cheese, lardon and pork skin treat and bread. Veal Suppli also great - cheesy inside and crusty outside. For vegan people not the place, for meatlikers THE place

Excellent! My&my hubby ordered antipasto+2carbonaras - we were already nearly full after the antipasto thing (various meat slices on one cutting board and some sandwiches+cheese+pickled mushrooms on another). Then they brought our 2 carbonaras (two plates and a pan) - tasty and a big portion. A good place to come with kids: nearly everyone eats pasta and you can split the portion how you like. P.s. creme brulée is amazing as well ;)

Great place to have a lunch, lot of local people dining here as well. Outside garden with tabels closely to the street makes nice atmosphere with all noises from people and the street, nice experience. Food was really delicious, Cacio e Pepe had good quality parmezan and good pepper proportion it was creamy. Traditional Trippa alla Romana dish was also delicious. Drinks were good. We also got an appetizer - chips with cacio e pepe creamy souce and fresh bread. All of appetizer were free which is nice. You can visit this place if you are hungry for sure. Thanks!

Eat here! If you are anywhere in this area of Rome, this is an excellent place to eat. We had the sample bruscetta. It is 5 different kinds, and they are seasonal flavors. My wife had Cacio e Pepe and thought it was great. I had the Gricia for the first time. The pork cheek on mine was incredible. This place is not fancy but doesn't need to be. You will not regret eating here.

Very good restaurant that has sun during lunch time, so it's perfect to sit outside. Either book a table in advance or be there before opening time to get a table. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. The Abbrachio was very well cooked and the same for the Carbonara. Good tiramisu and they give a nice appetizer for free.

Excellent spot for a causal, easy dinner in Roma. We got the Cacio e Pepe, carbonara and the grilled lamb which was perfect for the two of us to share. The prices are great and really reasonable for portions and quality of the food.

We came to this restaurant after a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. The wine was not expensive (12€ for 1 Liter of house wine), and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was also great, with a lot of locals eating there as well. Overall, it was a great restaurant and definitely worth a visit.

Got the recommendation from our tour guide at the Vatican. Phenomenal food.
Had about 13 dishes (party of 6) in total with 2 wine bottles. I will be back.

Amazing food! If you are a fan of porchetta and don’t mind lardo (pork fat) then you must get Porchetta di Aricia as a starter! For one person it might be way too much but for 2 or 3 people is just enough before the main! It was delicious. The pasta, cacio e pepe & carbonara was amazing! If you’re lucky to get the right seats then you will also have a gorgeous view of the Castel Sant’Angelo 😜 oh by the way, the tiramisu was the best we have had! The cream was just sooooo delicious 🤤
