We saw this restaurant on the blog Rome Wise and loved it. The perfectly cooked and the sauce delicious. They had a few different/out there dishes that we also enjoyed trying - especially the dessert with white chocolate, ginger, capers and olive oil. The wine was delicious and the staff attentive and warm. Would recommend booking if you’re thinking of visiting

So glad we came here for dinner on our holiday in Rome. When you’re visiting a city it’s hard to know which restaurant to choose but I am so glad we chose L’Arcangelo. It is informal and welcoming, and they are so kind to foreigners and tourists while still being authentic enough for locals. The waitress was so friendly and the other staff we encountered were too. The food was phenomenal, particularly the artichoke pasta. I probably would skip the tiramisu if I went back though.

I want to begin by saying that if you are seeing the negative reviews and are feeling hesitant - please read mine! I recommend ignoring the negative reviews.

As someone who has food allergies I am usually a little more cautious when choosing places to eat. The staff was extremely welcoming and I felt very assured that they understood my allergies (I speak little to no conversational italian) and they made sure that each dish I was interested in did not contain any allergens.

We came for the carbonara and wow did it deliver - the pasta was a perfect al dente (to those saying the pasta was too hard, I disagree) and the flavor of the sauce was incredible. Perfect portion size for the rich sauce, and honestly not significantly more expensive than other nice meals we have had on our Italy trip.

The restaurant does take card - not sure why a recent review says they do not.

Overall highly recommend as it was one of the best meals of our whole trip!

Had a fantastic time here. The service was fantastic, the restaurant was cosy but chic. The food was amazing. Best Carbonara I’ve ever had and lovely drinks to match. Would highly recommend when in Rome!

We did a walk in and we’re seated very quickly, even though it was very busy and didn’t have a reservation. We were delighted with the amazing service as well as the delicious food - the pictures speak for themselves.

Absolutely the best restaurant experience in Rome! AUTHENTIC Roman trattoria cuisine with delightful staff. Real table linens and silverware too! While the savoury dishes were delicious, our dessert was heavenly! (Supplì di riso alla romana, crocchetta di patate affumicate; Rigatoni alla carbonara; Bignè con crema di agrumi e caramello)

Very small restaurant off the beaten path. Warm and cozy atmosphere that will take you back to another Era. High quality authentic dishes that you will not find in heavier traveled tourist areas. Great for a quiet romantic meal.

This was my third visit to the restaurant, and each time I would rate it 5 out of 5!! Terrific food (utilizing some traditional roman staples in new and inventive ways), a solid wine list (with excellent by the glass pairing options) and an inviting room with a warm and helpful staff. Plus, on two of the three nights the owner was there cooking in the kitchen, so that is a good sign!! If you are looking for a great "foodie" experience in Roma, make sure you stop here.

We came across Restaurant L'Arcangelo as it was near to our hotel and the menu was both different and enticing. A complementary creamy carrot soup with a hint of fennel was followed by shared Primo - a rich pasta carbonara - delicious. A main of pigeon for me and pork for my wife was beautifully cooked with flavours everywhere. The meal completed with two wonderful desserts. The price was just over 100 Euros which with wine, water, coffee and service was very reasonable. The service was good leaving you to enjoy the ambience of the location. We loved the pictures and the old toy cars - a place of childhood memories. I cannot recommend L'Arcangelo highly enough - loved it and cannot wait to visit Rome again to see what delights are on the menu. 5Stars

Excellent food in a traditional manner but with a twist. I enjoyed a terrine with biscuits and a salty caramel sauce. A pork fillet cooked to perfection - crisp on the outside but still tender on the inside - followed. My partner enjoyed the onioy ravioli. We both had excellent deserts - mine were choux pastry rolls filled with lemon cream and dressed with lemon flavoured burnt suger sauce. My partner had a delicious zagbaglioni.

We went to L'Arcangelo somewhat randomly, stumbling in not speaking very much Italian, but were lucky enough to sit at the very small (2-3 person) bar since we didn't have a reservation. In short it was the best food we had in Rome by far and the best eggplant parmesan I've ever had. Definitely make a reservation, even during the week.

One delicious plate after another, so unique! We had some veggie soup that was more like gazpacho, a "salad" that had peas and asparagus, some fish, and a pasta dish. Each one was fantastic. Add this to your list if you will be in the area for a few days.
