First of all, great local food you should go there. Second of all, fast and nice service, you should go there.
Price was fair given what we've eaten.
All of this with a lovely interior decoration (affreschi and bassorilievi), which can be seen in the pictures.

I had an incredible experience at Ristorante Al Padovano! The pasta dishes were absolutely delicious, and the service was both efficient and friendly, with the staff always sporting a smile. The restaurant's charming decor added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I can't wait to visit again!

What eating out should be. This traditional style restaurant is an absolute gem of a place. My wife and I had our wedding reception here 15 years ago on the recommendation of the local Augustinian priest Fr. Tony Finn, He summed up the restaurant as great food, served by nice people, for locals and tourists, at a very fair price. He was right. When we visited Rome recently we decided to to take a trip down memory lane. The restaurant was just as we remembered, still the same pleasent friendly service by waiters and staff who have spent a lifetime at this restaurant. The menu is very extensive and caters for vegetarians. The pasta dishes and desserts are a must. The house wine is excellent at a frankly astonishing €2:50 a glass. Due to an early flight we dined out at 7pm on Sunday which wasn't busy, but as the evening wore on a steady stream of older locals and a spattering of tourists started to arrive. Al Padovano is a jewel of a restaurant. I can't wait to visit again.

This looked like a diamond in the rough when we happened to walk past and boy were we right. The food was incredible, best I had while I was in Italy. You could tell the food was 100% fresh and handmade by the chef who came out and took our order, talked with us, and made some of his favorite desserts. The ravioli was the best I ever had, and will be coming back to this location to have more on another trip.

Impromptu lunch, and it did not disappoint. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Very clean inside and out. The kitchen is run by senior Italians, so you KNOW it's amazing. Not touristy, which is a super A+ on my list! We will be back!

Risotto & mixed grill was good but this place serves the best tiramisu I’ve had in Rome.

Amazing service, amazing food, relaxed and cosy atmosphere, the best tiramisu I have had in Rome since I like mine with more of the cake/sponge than cream. Also the best risotto!! It was perfect :)

The prices are decent and not touristy at all.

We were there twice and it was both times very nice here. Super friendly waters and the food was amazing too, we as German had luck that the water spoke German so we didn’t had any problems. The price there is very good. You should check it out!!!

Very authentic Italian restaurant in Rome. The pasta tasted great and was fresh. Deserts were also tasty.

The best authentic restaurant in Rome center, managed and directed with so much love and professionalism by Grande Marcello!

The food is so delicious and the ingredients used are always bio and fresh, that's why the taste is so original and the prices are really low for the quality you get!

The Supli, the traditional roman pastas Carbonara, Caccio e Pepe and Amatriciana were the best I have ever had in Rome and so were the Eggplants and Asparagus cooked in roman receipts and of course accompanied by the best quality of Italian wines, always recommended by Grande Marcello!

The meat plates of Salti in bocca and Scaloppina ai Porcini were also very delicious!

I recommend this Restaurant to everyone who wants to touch and feel the real taste of Rome cuisine!!

This little cozy restaurant is tucked away on a back street near Porta Pia. After the first day in Rome we decided to take a chance on this restaurant for our first night's meal and it did not disappoint. The friendly and slightly homely atmosphere paired with the very accommodating staff we were sold. Would highly recommend the tiramisu if you are able to make it through to that stage.

It’s true that it’s hard to find a bad restaurant in Rome. But its equally true that it’s hard to find a truly exceptional restaurant, but this is it. Al Padovano has amazing food that will cost well below the expected tourist price. The staff is attentive and exceptionally friendly. My wife I and are in Rome very frequently and this place is an absolute gem. We will be back for sure
