Badia di Passignano is a beautiful experience, a sensory delight. The church is filled with stunning frescoes and the scale of the abbey is impressive. The restaurants in the village are fantastic.

Even if we were not able to see the “Last Supper” painting the pictorial quality of the chapel is really high. It deserves a visit.

You must be lucky to find a monk for the guided tour, otherwise you won’t be able to see it.

Badia a Passignano is a magic place. In the middle of CHianti hills, it offers the possibility really understand and appreciate how - during middle ages - more than 100 monks used to live in the abbey. Among the various things you can see, the amazing fresco by Domenico Ghirlandaio (recently restored) will surprise you. The best option to get there is by guided e-bike tour. The interiors of the abbey and Chianti rolling hills will exceed your expectations.
