Bar Trattoria Da Silvan

We came here not knowing anything about it, and the owner (I believe) was friendly and helpful. They did not speak English (we're in Italy after all), but that was not an issue because they were welcoming, so Google Translate was helpful here. The food was delicious and the prices were fair. House wine is good, too.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Definitely not tourists. Nobody speaks English, including the waitress who held me down and twisted my arm and forced me to order the tiramisu. Excellent food, great prices.

A diamond in the rough 💎 we was looking for somewhere close to our hotel and this place was 30 seconds away so we decided to give it a try. After reading the reviews I had to try the Carbonara. Well we was not disappointed. We ate here twice during our stay this week as once was not enough. Amazing quality and quantity for a very good price. Silvano was an amazing host. My partner was struggling to finish due to being full and he used Google translate to ask if everything was ok and if he didn't like it he would make him something else. You got big portions for your money. The young waitress was lovely and her happiness was infectious. Both our meals on both occasions were delicious. Plus a half a litre of wine for €3 euros you can't go wrong and it was very nice. On each night our bill was under €30. On our last night we left with a CD of the man himself singing which we are looking forward to listening to. Thank you for a wonderful experience during our trip. It is absolutely worth visiting

The dinner was just amazing. It is relatievely cheap with awesome food. I ordered carbonara and it was really amazing 10/10. The overall climate in this place is friendly and a little bit of family taste. At the end the owner of this place gave us the CD of hisown music. Amazing feeling. Good luck for all 'ya.

Incredible value in an otherwise expensive city. Two of us are to our hearts' content, with huge glasses of wine and all for under €20. There are also off menu items that you can ask for such as gnocchi.

The owner is super friendly and accommodating. They even gave us free prosciutto with bread before our meal.

Absolutely recommend it. It is not in the most "touristy" zone, but close enough to the train station. A short 10-12 minute walk and totally worth it!

An amazing little spot to visit. Not only are the dishes perfectly sized for their price, The owner silvano is an amazing Italian singer and a fun guy to talk to (Google translate helps for my English fellows). With every new meal he would give us samples of other dishes to help us find a reason to come back over and over and over again. (Which we did) the main reason being the cheap wine and 1 dollar shot of ANYTHING! (Please don't abuse this!!) I would definitely come back next time I'm in rome!

Trattoria storica allo scalo san Lorenzo a Roma. Proprietaria molto simpatica che ha accolto il mio cagnolino con grande affetto. Primi: fettuccine con salsiccia zucchine e funghi e gricia molto buoni, altrettanto le polpette con verdure e carne con contorno patate al forno e broccoletti ripassati. Buoni il tiramisù e le fragole al limone.
Prezzo onesto.
Consigliatissimo.

Grande Silvan, ogni giorno un fuori menù eccellente oltre ai grandi classici proposti. Il venerdì sera si canta pure......daje Lellèèè cò sta fregolaaaa!!!

Io, mio marito e un nostro amico abbiamo cenato nella trattoria l' altra sera. Nonostante abitiamo qui vicino non ci eravamo mai venuti!
Si tratta di una trattoria tradizionale romanesca, di quelle ormai rare con cibo casalingo e prezzi onesti. Il locale non attira molto a primo acchito, perché sembra un bar un po' datato, ma non bisogna cedere alle apparenze! Dietro infatti c'è una seconda saletta più accogliente dove si cena in tranquillità, gustando piatti della cucina romanesca anche piuttosto rari da trovare in porzioni abbondanti e prezzi giusti. Tra le cose che abbiamo mangiato e che segnaliamo, c'era un ottima carbonara e una pasta col sugo di cotiche che veramente erano qualcosa!
Ci torneremo!
