Cozy location in a typical Roman area - was easy to reach.
The food was amazing we've been there two times while our vacation and tried the pasta, wine and Tiramisu. 100% recommended 😊
As well the waiters are super friendly and it's a familiar atmosphere.

This place is a must! I visited it two nights in a row and can truly say it’s my favoirt restaurant in Rome. Family owned and so low key but the food is incredible- bucatini amatraciana is a must! The roasted lamb was also fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!

The best restaurant so far in Rome !! If you are in Rome you have to go to this place. The pasta is excellent, the supplì authentic and the tiramisù exceptional !! And of course, in a very quiet and hidden place, lovely when it’s sunny outside, in the terrace with flowers and a good atmosphere. The service is perfect and the owner is so nice. I really recommend you this place to eat authentic food in Rome. I just want to return to taste again de food !!

Fantastic meal here. A warm welcome from Bruno. A great recommendation for wine too. We went for Artichoke, suckling pig and 2 types of pizza. Everything was cooked perfectly. Perfect finale to our trip to Rome. Many thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Nice and friendly place,felt like I was with my family with the staff. Family restaurant and good food,just long walk around the city for 2 days ,this was the best restaurant we did eat, pasta was heavenly and the house White wine just right with the pasta..light and fresh.And the tiramisu....just made my day

Amazing place, food, athmosfere and staff. We had pasta (best amatriciana and rigatoni con cosa) , scaloppine alla romana and pork. The food was delicious and the staff amazing. Certainly a place to return

Had a lovely time at Gli Specialisti. They were very happy to serve us! The food was amazing. My first meal in Italy was a huge success. The whole meal was €72 for three meals, fried artichoke and a liter of the house wine (which was fantastic). Will be suggesting this to friends in the future!

Gil Specialist was recommended by a local. We dined with said locals, not a tourist in sight and I understand why.

Our server was attentive and incredibly helpful. We asked what he liked on the menu and built all our dishes around that. We were not disappointed but blown away. The lamb was to die for and the Roman pasta dishes were delectable (especially the special Raviolli).

Call in advance to book but wander Trastevere beforehand (or after), because it's beautiful.

I recently dined at this charming restaurant in Rome and had the best pasta carbonara I've ever tasted. The pizza was equally delicious. The food arrived quickly, and the waiter was exceptionally friendly and attentive.
I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a fantastic meal in Rome.

Very good restaurant, employees are welcoming, food is good and inexpensive. For 2 pizzas, 2 glasses of a good wine, a bottle of sparkling water and 2 desserts we paid 45 euros. Not a tourist trap, I highly recommend

We were recommended this restaurant by our friends from Miami. We tried to go during New Year’s Eve but they were fully booked. We showed up two days later and had no issue getting a table. The food was delicious! Menus were in Italian but nothing google translate can’t handle. The staff was friendly and were able to provide recommendations. Probably the best dinner we had during our time in Rome. Deserts were also reallyy good. If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to drop by. Enjoy!

There is little more that I can say except this was an amazing experience, lovely staff, great setting, but more than anything; incredible food.

This was my final meal in Rome and it was a perfect send off. I was also surprised by how affordable it was!

Please do yourself a favour, ignore all the on the street callers look for this place. Sit outside, have a full set meal. Pasta, meat, tiramisu. And thank me later.

We came in at 7pm on a Wednesday without a reservation. The folks in the restaurant were super attentive and helpful, providing suggestions of what to eat and explaining the ingredients to each meal in detail. We had a fried stuffed squash blossom & a fried artichoke to start - both were great. For our mains we had the insalata di puntarelle, cacio e pepe, and trippa alla romana. We split a bottle of wine and finished off the meal with grappa. It was really lovely and the food was all delicious. Highly recommend stopping by for the experience!

Made a last minute decision to call here and book a table vs going to a nearby “famous” restaurant. So glad I did!! Best food we’ve had in Italy so far. Everything was perfect. Our favorite was this beef dish with a cream sauce and potatoes. The cherry tart was fantastic! In a nice quiet part of Trastevere, it was a wonderful meal. When we come back to Rome, this will be on our list to revisit.

This restaurant was just around the corner from our hotel and despite of numerous restaurants available in the area and the idea of trying different place every evening we ended up having a dinner 3 times here during our visit. Only pizza & pasta + drinks were in our menu and definitely no complaints, all that was of high quality.
There seems to be some mixed reviews about the service, personally I think it was efficient, nothing to complain about.

My husband and I ate here tonight for dinner and it was some of the best food we’ve had in Rome. We were searching for an authentic place to dine and we couldn’t have been happier finding this place. We had the roasted lamb and oxtail and both were so so delicious. The service was great too, We don’t speak Italian well but they were kind enough to help us decide what to order. We will be back!

This place is so good. I got pasta with artichokes and bacon the first night, and it was amazing. We liked it so much that we came back and I had sliced steak with arugula, tomatoes, and sliced potatoes that were crispy and soft on the inside. Not kidding, so good. But what tops it all off is the amazing service. Our waiter was so helpful with the menu since we don’t speak or read Italian. He said just find a picture of one you’d like online and he will explain what it is. He was so quick and affirmed us of our orders which felt nice too.

Incredible food, fair prices, friendly service. Our favourite place to eat in the entire city. The mozzarella di bufala is the highest quality we’ve ever had, the cacio e pepe was phenomenal. Tiramisu was just killer. The staff is very friendly and playful. If you are looking for one place to eat in Rome, I highly suggest this place. Note the menu is in Italian so bring Google translate
