Bragdavellir Barn Restaurant

So glad we randomly stumbled on this place while driving! We stopped here for a late dinner after a day exploring the south side of the island. The staff are so friendly!! I got the sheep burger with fries and my bestie got the mushroom soup with bread.

My sheep burger was amazingly fresh and juicy, cooked perfectly. It was also quite a big burger, and the fries were crispy and hot. A delicious meal after a long day! The inside of the restaurant is very cute with the fairy lights, and they have a ample seating inside. They also have a little porch area on one side. One of the servers took us there to show us the view and chat with us about the surrounding land. She pointed us out back where there is a small waterfall and a gravel road you can drive along to see horses and get better photos of the waterfall as well.

A great place to stop for food and relaxation!

Easily hands down our best burger during the entire week long road trip around all of Iceland. The lamb patty is delightfully seasoned and grilled to a Michelin-quality perfection; the side sauces are pure soul teasers especially the house special blue cheese dressing; the French fries are tender inside and oh-so-crispy outside; simply scrumptious. Their apple cake is served surrounded by generous dollops of thick whipped cream topped with caramel and pine nuts… what’s there not to love? And to boot, the service is amiable and charming, fully worthy of the legendary Icelandic warmth. The chef even took the time to join us at the table for a chat and introduction. A 5-star dining experience that will not be quickly forgotten. Definitely drop by if you’re in the vicinity and might I say that it’s even worth a detour to dine here. Bon appétit!

We ordered the sheep burger and cod fish dish . It was both very delicious. The owner is very accommodating and whip up a salad to the side of the cod dish. The dessert homemade apple cake was good too.

Wonderful family run restaurant with deep roots to the site of the farm. We stopped in for dinner on our ring road journey, the homemade soup was perfect for the coastal weather, seared local cod was fresh and delicious, the lamb burger juicy and tender…highly recommended a lunch or dinner stop here surrounded by incredible views and many waterfalls.

Very friendly service and nice atmosphere, the lamb was tasty and served with lots of side dishes. It's not even that expensive, for sure one of the best places to eat in Iceland. The view is magnificent by the way, even with clouds and rain, really suggested restaurant.

My favorite morning in all my trip, the service is very welcoming and cozy and the view was amazing! There’s a short walk to a nice waterfall in the back of the place, where there’s also some cute ducks and chickens. There’s various foods for breakfast with good coffe!

After two years of break they are open again! Beef burger is delicious! It's a small family business everything is very good the place has been refreshed before reopening. Definitely worth to come here ;)

The salmon was delicious, highly recommend it! The others had the sheep burger which they also enjoyed.

Nice dinner in an atmospheric room. We recommend stopping there for dinner. The food is local and very tasty! The prices are very reasonable for Iceland.
