What a great hotel in a beautiful place in snowy February - the views were lovely. Had a great breakfast watching an orange moon coming over the horizin and the sun rising in the Eastern Sky. Beautiful. All of the Staff were AMAZING, so friendly & helpful. We alsobdecided to eat in the hotel restaurant- great decision as the food was delicious. Thank you for providing lovely memories.

The hotel is quiet and very comfortable, good beds and bathroom. Service very friendly. Such a cute town on our last days of our trip. I've never liked lamb, the restaurant here changed that real quick, best lamb I've ever had!!!!

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel, and in this lovely small town. The countryside around Styykisholmur is picturesque in the extreme, especially in good weather, and the hotel offers good views of local highlights. In late evening and early morning during summer, the views across the water to islands and snow covered peaks is just amazing, and there are always plenty of birds on or near the water. The hotel is quiet and very comfortable by our standards, good beds and bathroom. We enjoyed a nice dinner and our breakfasts as well. Service was friendly and easy, including getting our group set up to play golf at the 9 hole course nearby using rental clubs. Thank you!!

We came for dinner and drinks. They made the best lamb that I've ever had.

The bread was also extremely good. I could have eaten just that and been quite happy.

We visited this hotel as a meal stop on our bus tour. I was rather impressed by the meal preparation and presentation. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was scenic, and the hotel itself appeared modern and well kept.

I arrived in late May for a 3 night stay. They met my request for a quiet room with an upgrade to move me away from tour groups. Rafaela at the front desk was amazing! She's friendly and efficient handling check-in & guest concerns with a personal touch. Breakfast was $17 but my best option with eggs, sausage, bacon & pancakes plus an array of cold choices. My room was spacious, quiet, comfortable with a great view of the mountains & sea. I had a rain shower that was nice. They have an elevator. They have one of the only bars in town with a friendly Hungarian bar-keep. I don't usually stay Fosshotel but this was very nice.

We arrived last night after a long day of hiking and exploring the peninsula. The front desk greeted us warmly and our room was spacious, clean and gorgeous. It was the perfect place to relax before another long day of touring. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lucky to find this hotel on our trip. We were not planning on staying here. We had been car camping the entire stay but wanted to change it up and stay at a nice hotel. The price, only $77 usd was the deciding factor plus it came with an all you can eat breakfast! The room was nice, clean and comfortable.

A surprisingly pleasant stay. The room was modern and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The blinds could not 100% close which meant the room was not totally dark at night (summertime), but no big deal. The restaurant was pricey and had a very limited menu. I'd love to have seen more than seafood and lamb dishes, such as chicken. There was a single vegan dish but it seemed quite unappealing. Luckily the town has several other restaurants to choose from.

We stopped off in Stykkishólmur before taking the ferry north. The hotel was amazing - great service at check-in, great rooms with awesome views, and good breakfast in the morning. The play area outside (even frisbee golf course) was a great touch.

Such a great hotel stay. Was definitely a step up from some of the guest houses we stayed at across Iceland and the view in the hilltop was great. Room was spacious and comfortable, and the inclusive breakfast had diverse and tasty options.

We selected "Cod loin with fennel" from the menu at the hotel's restaurant June 17th 2022.

I am someone who is very inclined to fish and fish dishes...even though I love Icelandic lamb. But this particular fish dish is something I will not forget as probably it's one of the best I've ever had ... perfect harmony of flavours and the freshness of the fish and it's cooking point was excellent! My two friends who had chosen the same form the menu were of similar opinions...

We still remember that exquisite dinner we had that evening at the hotel, very warm welcome services and the waiter's perfect suggestion of a balanced white wine to enjoy with the fish ❤

High recommendations to stop there a enjoy their food. We were just passing by...so luckily that evening they had a table for us available 🙏🏻

Beautiful hotel, on top of a hill overlooking the town, the coast and the mountains. Good food, restaurant looks out over coast and the amazingly designed modern church., Lovely room. Bottom bed sheet was rough but good for exfoliating while you sleep!😂

Our room was AMAZING! Huge, clean and breathtaking view of the church. We splurged on a 3 course meal and glad we did- it was incredibly delicious. The chef even came out to us! Being vegetarian we asked for certain substitutions and they were happy to accommodate. Highly recommend. Best dinner + dessert we had in Iceland.

Excellent place to stay the night before we took the ferry. We arrived at the same time as a tour bus, so enjoyed a beer while everyone was sorted out. Pleasant staff, great food, room had wonderful view of the waterfront.

Very nice location. Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good and freshly made even though there were only three guests at the time of our visit. Even though the rooms were a little bit dated, one could not complain as the overall quality lived up to the high Icelandic standards.
