We were surprised at the variety of vegetarian items on the menu. We had the vegan luxury burger, vegetarian burger, Delhi kofta with garlic bread, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. All were excellent. (The sweet potato fries and onion rings were especially good - crispy and tasty.) This wasn't the healthiest meal we had in Iceland, but we're very happy we visited. :-)

Cool small place with gorgeous burgers! Even vegan burgers with vegan cheese! I loved the vegan luxury burger. They have curly and crisscross fries and the crisscross ones are huge!

WOW. Talk about hidden gem nestled out of the center of Reykjavík. They offer a variety of burgers and are able to make any type into a vegan burger! They also have various fry options AND sauces (again, you guessed it, with vegan options!). Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and wonderful owner/hostess. I felt extremely welcomed as a traveler and the owner is knowledgeable about the island, as she has traveled it many times herself. This was my last stop of the trip before heading to the airport. I have a belly full of wonderful vegan food and I am pleased with my experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious (vegan) burger.

Amazing small restaurant, perfect for pit stops, take away and lunches. I recommend the “Truffluborgari” and the curly fries. Lovely staff and very cozy place to dine.

Did not expect a piano man when going to The Bike Cave tonight, even though it is Bóndadagur the first day of Þorri. Great burger as always, but added enjoyment this evening

Very cool vibe, of the beaten path. Excellent place if you want to slide away from tourist row. Mostly locals, cheap eats, live piano. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

The best vegan burgers in Iceland.
Walk into a biker-inspired cozy environment. With alot of burger alternatives, there is always something that works for the whole group. From fat dripping soon to have an heartattackbacin burger, to the more planet and body friendly vegan burgers (yes that's plural). They have an assortment of crisps/fries and alotnof dipsauses (both vegan and others).

10/10 would go again!

Delicious hamburgers, and quick service. There is also free bike servicing if you need it, it's a great spot known to locals.

Wonderful conversation with the owner. She is quiet friendly and also helpful. She suggested two local residents for us to try. The fish are Bike Cave are rather fresh and delighted. Wonderful local area where you can get your bike fix while having a meal.

My wife and I were here for a bite to eat after a long hike. Staff was super friendly, really cool atmosphere, and the burgers we got were absolutely to die for. Great value, too, especially for Iceland. Highly recommend making your way down here.

I recently took my bike to Jacek for a tune up and to get some new wheels and a new cassette fitted. All I can say is that it feels like a new bike and everything was done at a very reasonable price and in quick time. I even had a lovely burger and chips in the cafe when I went to pick up the bike. Next on the list is studded tyres. 10/10 service, would highly recommend.

We had the best time here. The vegan deluxe burgers are incredible, the staff are fantastic, the lady playing piano the second night we came in was amazing and totally pandered to our little girl by playing songs from Frozen and Moana and chatting to her all evening. Just a fabulous experience. Thanks so much!.

I didnt eat here due to my allergies. I'm not sure why reviews are stating that there are gluten free options. I went in to ask, and the owner didn't quite state exactly certified gluten free. Celiacs definitely be cautious eating here. She was kind and polite though nontheless

Quite unique environment. You walk into the cleanest bike repair shop available. Clean enough to be a restaurant who served me the best burger I've ever had. And as a special burger "inspector" I've had quite few....

It's a must visit, and no need to be afraid of those tough bikers, they're actually equiped with a hearts of gold. 😆

My 5 star review is based on my conversation with Stephan, one of the owners. Unfortunately, my stay was too short to visit this lovely vegan restaurant. But if the food is even half as brilliant as the owner, it must be truly remarkable!

Full disclosure: I work here
However this is in my opinion one of the two best restaurants in Reykjavík. Some of the cheapest burgers anywhere in this country and it doesnt hurt that they taste amazing as well!
Every menu item is great. I especially recommend the veggie chilliburger and if youre feeling up for adventure then ask for the secret menu.
The staff is mostly teenagers during the evening but they all speak english and danish and are very friendly. During the day you will hopefully have a chance to meet the owner who is one of the most kind hearted people i know.
The only real complaint i have is that if its busy the wait can be quite long due to the smallness of the grill but if you plan the trip on a monday or tuesday it shouldnt be longer than 10-15 minutes usually.
Do yourself a favor and stop by :)
