This place was referred to by a fellow tourist, said it was recommended by Michelin. We tried their lamb fillet, it was absolutely delicious. It did not disappoint. As it's inside the food hall, we also got to taste other Icelandic food from other stalls.

Saved the best for last, as this was our last dinner in Iceland. The atmosphere in the food court is a very spot. The staff was super sweet and was a pleasure to watch them prep food. I would highly recommend this if you're in Reykjavik.

Skal is located in a food hall with a busy, yet relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very knowledgeable about which dishes were gluten free and there were a lot of gluten free options. The food was just incredibly delicious!

Exceptional dining experience. The food, wine, and service was all sensational. There was a buzzy atmosphere and I felt the restaurant was fairly priced. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Perfect dinner and service. My partner and I shared the broccolini with herb emulsion, lightly baked cod, and baked arctic char. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully, and everyone working there was kind and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to sit immediately at 6pm on a Saturday.

AMAZINGGG!! It happened to be the first meal we had in Iceland and was in both our opinions top 5 all-time dishes. It was a little pricey, but worth it! We shared the scallops (unique, and my favourite) and for mains shared the cod and char. So good we are going to go back before we leave.

Amazing food and they have natural wines. We were 4 and shared the dishes in the picture and one bottle of wine. It was enough but I might have ordered one extra dish or replaced the scallops for something bigger. Everything was very very tasty but the artic char and the lamb impressed me. Definitely would come back if back in Iceland.

Just WOW...... Still wishing I could eat here every night. The owner was so passionate about talking of the dishes in a way you see the love that goes into every plate being sent out to everyone. If youre a foodie like me and happen to be speaking with the owner he"ll explain the dish and how it came to be on their menu while you get to watch the chef preparing it in front of you. Hats off to the staff as well. Oh and that blueberry dessert is 🔥 (mic drop)

Skál! is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece in the heart of Reykjavik. The ambiance takes you on an immersive Icelandic journey, paired perfectly with an array of delightful dishes that capture the essence of the land of fire and ice. It was a hit with our entire family! While my kids devoured the Fried crushed potatoes with joyous enthusiasm, us adults were treated to a symphony of flavors. The Salt baked beets were a harmonious blend of earthy and sweet with cream and pistachios, and the Monkfish on the rocks was not only visually astounding, served atop genuine volcanic rocks, but also tantalizingly delicious. The Icelandic lamb filet was tender and succulent, reminding us of the country's rich agricultural heritage. As for the Baked arctic char, it was the epitome of freshness, truly capturing the spirit of Iceland's waters. If you're seeking an elevated dining experience in Reykjavik, Skál! is an unmissable gem. Highly recommended!

Delicious and beautiful food that came out quickly, kind and attentive staff, and as nice of an atmosphere as you can curate in a food hall!

A great place to stop by and have some small plates, but their main courses are also delicious.

Amazing food. I would go here again to get a taste of modern Icelandic cuisine. Everything was delicious, made with skill and no fuss. There is also a great selection of local beer and spirits as well an endless amount of cocktails to try.

Lovely lovely spot to visit! We came back twice during our stay in Iceland. I would recommend trying as many of the small plates to share as you can eat. The cocktails are strong and good. Lovely staff.

Very interesting concept - a little like a food court within a restaurant. You can place your order for different types of food at different stations and you get a remote to notify uou when it's ready for pickup. Seating is at long, communal picnic-type tables. Food is excellent, atmosphere is lively, but not overbearing, and prices are quite reasonable for Iceland.

I had dinner with my friends in this restaurant. I had the beef skirt steak and it was cooked to perfection. However, the steak is a bit small so I tried the baked arctic char. The arctic char also didn't disappoint me.

This restaurant had average service and was located in a food hall.

I would recommend this restaurant because of its high value for money. You can have high quality steak and arctic char with a relatively low price.

Did not expect the food to be quite so amazing! Would definitely recommend. We shared 3 smaller plates between 2 and were blown away by the quality of the food.

come here for FLAVOR!! Inside a small food court, this place has some really unique and tasty dishes! The Monkfish on rocks and crispy fried potatoes were like an elevated fish and chips. The hand dived scallops tasted so fresh, the combination of flavors included black current granita and horseradish cream… I’ve never had anything like it! We tried a few more dishes and drinks, and everything was stellar! A bit pricey and a tiny bit salty, but completely worth 5 stars!

must go if you are in Iceland. We ordered the cod and baked artic char and it was absolutely the best fish dishes we had in Iceland. For this price it was a steal, tourist spots are charging 2000-4000 for mediocre soups and mains.
