Without a doubt, the absolute best campsite in the entire Iceland. We have been twice in the country and this place, by far, has it all and more! Excellent facilities and services. Also, this part of the Western Fjords was the most impressive, absolutely stunning!

By far the best campsite we've stayed in Iceland. The living area and kitchen are large and fully equipped, not to mention the heated swimming pool with sea views. The best campsite we been in Iceland in more than a month. We gave been there in the fiest week of October and we were just 3 people here. So, almost private hot pool with a view to a fjord. What is more, the shower and kitchen zone was at least like 3 or even 4vstar hotels in Europe has. Finally, dyring the morning swim in the pool we saw a lot of whales in the fjord. Just be sure to bring binocilus, as the whales a pretty far.

Best campsite in all of iceland. The owner is so nice, fully equipped kitchen with free coffee (what a perk!), fridge, pots, pans, spices, plates etc. We finally were able to cook a decent meal during our camping trip.
The area is also so beautiful around, there is a hot tub/pool that overlooks the lake in front. The owner even has kayaks he can rent to go kayaking on the lake. I can imagine coming here for nice winter holidays with friends too. It's worth coming here just to experience this campsite, and if you're lucky, you might get to see the aurora too. Price is 2500 ISK pp but completely worth it.
Ps just remember to take your stuff from the fridge-- we forgot!

Very lovely place! Probably the best one in the West Fjord. Well equipped house with a common kitchen that actually looks more like a very cozy and modern living room. All necessary stuff like dishes, spices, and coffee are included. Very comfortable bathroom inside the house (even with towels for all guests), plus a few showers behind the house. What is very special - that’s a hot swimming pool! It was so relaxing after a long day trip. And the most important is a very friendly and supportive owner:)
Highly recommend to stay there!

This is BY FAR the best campsite we visited on Iceland. The common room is so cozy we thought we were at home, the kitchen is super equipped and spacious and bathrooms are clean.

We had the most amazing experience watching northern lights from a hot pool. We met some campers from Germany that were very nice and was cool to make friends with them.

Great campsite in a very pretty, quiet setting with a beautiful view of the fjord.
The host is very kind and welcoming.
The premises are clean and a large, well-equipped kitchen is available,
Free thermal-heated swimming pool.
I can only recommend this place, it is the best campiste we've done in Iceland.

By far the best camping place I had a pleasure to stay at. Great facilities, I felt like I was in a living room with a well equipped kitchen. The hot pool in front of the house is a highlight. Definitely 5-star rating.

The best campground you can possibly find. It has an amazing kitchen/ living room area, big bathroom and a hot pot. On top, you have beach view. The owner Gunnar is lovely and it just couldn’t be better than here.

By far, the best campsite I have ever been! It is more a glamping than camping. We really enjoyed our stay so that we have extended by another night.

Best campground in Iceland. Soo much effort was put in building this magnificent camp site. U can see they thought about all the details, u have everything u need even more than at home. Fancy kitchen, dining area anf living room.
U have a natural hot tub with view of the bay.
The host is extremely nice and helpful.
U can do your laundry as well.
A must stop if you are in the area.

A hidden gem. This new campsite is located on the property where the owner lives (picture shown). There is a separate building (didn’t get a picture of this but other reviews show it) used as a communal space with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with toilet and shower inside. There is an additional toilet, changing area and shower all separate in a covered outdoor space just on the exterior of the building. Wonderful heated pool on the adjoining deck. The very kind owner greets you upon or shortly after arrival. Card or cash payments accepted for 2500kr per person, worth every cent for this quiet and comfortable place!

This was the best campsite i’ve ever been. The owner was very kind and caring and the place was really beautiful and the view stunning. In the camp, there is everything you need and even more than you need:) Thank you for this amazing stay!

This is THE best campsite in Iceland. The owner is the kindest person and genuinely cares about his guests. The kitchen is BEAUTIFUL and has all that you need. Pots, pans, dishes, spices, cookware, oven and so much more. The showers and toilets are very nice and clean. There is a washer for those who need it. He sells beer, wine, soft drinks, eggs and tomatoes(from his greenhouse). The coffee is free and a pot to brew from. The hot tub was amazing to sit in while we waited for the northern lights. The free is beautiful from the common area. Overall an AMAZING experience and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who is coming to the West Fjords!

Not a restaurant! The most amazing campsite in all of Iceland! The nicest facilities I've ever seen in any campsite, some even nicer than what I have in my house. It's not massive and we were the only ones there because it was off season in November. The hosts are fantastic, extremely welcoming and very friendly.

Facilities are all very clean and there is more than enough equipment to cook a full dinner with, especially nice if you've been used to cooking rehydrated camp food for the past few days.

We even stayed for two nights instead of one because we couldn't find a nicer camp site. It's 2000ikr per person per night and they have beers in the fridge for 1000ikr each which was a nice suprise.

10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone travelling to Iceland to include this before or after exploring the Westfjords

After being cold for several days, this is by far our best and warmest stay!! The hospitality and kindness of the owner is more worth than 5 stars! I can only recommend this camp-side to others. Thank you very much!!

Great campsite with excellent common facilities including patio hot pool, bbq and super friendly host. Puffins at Grimsey island Nature Reserve were a highlight of our trip and is accessed by tour boat minutes away in Dragnes. Thousands of puffins flying so close we could hear their wings beating.

Best camping site I’ve ever been. For kr2500 you have access to a beautiful pool, grill, cozy kitchen/living room with all the amenities and cuttlery you need. Also Gunnar (the owner?) was caring about everything we needed. I would totally come back.

Fantastic amenities, incredibly friendly and helpful couple who owns and lives on site. Right along the water. Lovely and large geothermal hot pool. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything one could need to cook a meal. It was a lovely sense of community. I wish our trip allowed us to stay longer but if I am ever back in Iceland I will definitely be coming back to this campground!

Absolutely fantastic place! We stayed here for three days, the owners are incredibly friendly. We had a warm community room with a completely equipped kitchen, a nice living area and a hot tub. Also very cheap for what you get. I can highly recommend it!
