So charming. Great place for a stop on a long drive into the Westfjords. Museum is so detailed, could have spent way more time. Guides in English available (and a couple more languages). Appreciated the owl collection too!

Nice Cafe with local dishes. We had the lamb and cheese sandwich and the lamb soup. Both were great. The museum is good for half an hour. Reading texts in English are available. Displays are in Icelandic.

Well worth the visit, with a fascinating display on Polar bears. Never knew they could swim 700km, and can wash up in Iceland!! For a country so iconic of “watch for the sheep when you drive,” this museum taught me a lot about the animal we see so frequently. Tickets are 1000isk/adult

Friendly staff made me some warm food on a cold and windy afternoon. Quite a few options on the cafe menu. The exhibit was well done and the info booklet about sheep in Strandir was really interesting. Good selection of gifts too.

Very nice museum to learn about the sheeps you see allday in the mountains. The exhibition is quite simple and you will not understand some parts without understanding icelandic. But the price is fair and the owner and the staff are really really friendly and are willing to explain more to you. The best is to sit down for half an hour and read one of the folders with all the information about sheeps in your native language.
There is also a small hiking path outside at the beach with explanations about the local birds.
One of the highlights of the place is the homemade ice cream from a farm nearby. Blueberry and strawberry are fantastic! Only pistachio was a little bit disappointing as it had more almond paste than pistachio, maybe to save some money for the expensive pistachio?
Unfortunately we did not try any cake or the lamb, next time!

Super interesting and quite complete! A lot of effort is put to let us enter the sheep world. The whole exposition is translated in a booklet (at least English and German), well written and with all the pictures.

Beside the main sheep part is an interesting room about the vagrants, as well as a room about myths and legends in Iceland.

Great museum that gives insides of the Icelandic sheep farming and its history. Very nice owner which answers all open questions and serves delicious chocolate cake and coffee! A stop here is worth it! We could even feed two little lamps with milk which was an awesome experience!

Lovely place! The lady who runs it was super helpful and gave us a lot of great info on sheep. She was nice enough to let us bottle feed the lambs as well!

We came to this museum by accident but didn't regret it at all. It's not big, but composed with love and attention, and there was also an interesting side exhibition about the Icelandic tradition to send children to work on farms. And after exploring the exhibitions you can treat yourself with an awesome rhubarb pie. Finally, don't forget to pet the lambs before leaving.

Im so lucky and happy that I just stop by for a coffee!
Its not only sheep farm. It's a hidden archive and great research about elfs trolls and hidden people places over Strandir area!
I've spent here 2h on my way to Husavik Witchcraft Museum and have to say - this is absolutely gem to find if you are into nordic folklore believes and spiritual chanted rocks and fields.

Amazing great work put into creating a map of enchanted places, curses and homes of elfs.
Stories kept from generation to generation .

You should really add this information to your place name!:)

+lovely warm coziness, kindness of owners and great coffee:)

Cute little place, and the girl who helped me was lovely and very accommodating. Stopped by for a coffee and also gave the Rhubarb Pie and Ice Cream a shot. It was delicious. The place was very organized and you can tell a lot of work goes into maintaining it. I know it isn't customary to tip but I left one anyway and she made the effort to flag me down as I was leaving and return it. Overall, fantastic stop.

Overwhelmed by the love of the local owners for their land. Admirable the way that even the youngest family members are contributing passionately to keep the past alive in the present. Try their homemade rhubarb cake, the best ever.
