This place can make non-book lovers fall in love with books. Huge aisles of bookshelves and also cafeteria can make you forget about time. It also has art supplies, fridge magnets, keychains, coffee mugs and paintings all of which are purely dedicated to art related to Kolkata. For those who visit kolkata as a traveller, they should definitely go there to get some souvenirs. Also, the variety of genres and tremendous collection of manga are great attractions too. One of the must visit places indeed.

The Oxford Bookstore is an incredible place that captivates book lovers. It's a true haven for those passionate about books. The 'Cha Bar' situated on the top floor is a delightful addition, serving some of the finest teas I've ever experienced.

The Makaibari tea I tried was unparalleled, marking itself as the best tea I've ever had. The overall experience was truly delightful, making it a must-visit for both book enthusiasts and tea aficionados.

Great place to pick up (old) Calcutta-centric artwork, souvenirs, and, of course, a massive selection of books of every flavor. Great selection of coffee table books. The café upstairs is a nice place to relax.

Wonderful selection. However they have drastically reduced their book collection over the years -- which is sad; especially considering the fact that another competing bookshop has recently opened doors just on the other side of the road. Expect Oxford to revive its former glory and goodwill.

It’s an 100 year old bookshop. Has a section for first timers in the city right in front as you step in. Found the cutest souvenirs here. If you’re looking for any goodies to gift they have gifting options too.

We had chowman special chicken side dish, chicken Cantonese noodles, chicken fried rice
All dishes were excellent, with special mention of their fried rice.
I had tried the golf green branch of chowman in the past. The food from broad Street branch tasted better.
Wish to see them keeping high standards in future.

Really liked this bookstore. Good collection with light Bangla music playing in the background. There is also a cafe (Cha Bar) in upper ground floor where you can sit and look down at the book store.

It's hands down the best book store I've been to. There are a variety of books available here and the place simply needs no introduction. It's located in Park St and is one of the oldest places. It also has a Cha Bar cafe on the top floor which serves amazing food.

Have nostalgia with this place ,in collage days used to come and read books of choice at this shop. Newly added cafetaria made it more lovable place to hang out with purpose.

The collection of this amazing bookstore is really wide. They have an exhaustive variety of books ranging from award winners to classics, to popular fictions. They also have a number of non fiction books, photography books and other miscellaneous categories as well. Their is a café on the second floor where one can easily rest and have some refreshments at an agreeable rate. The place is very easy to locate and also has a very fresh and well maintained washroom.

I love the environment of the place.. It has every kind of books available.. Nice and soft music plays all the time.. It's a very nice Place for Bookworm's and art and Craft lovers. I always find this place very useful as there are many gift options, books, cards, handmade products, art craft materials and many more. Very cozy and comfy place. Moreover, it has a Cha Bar that is also very nice. It offers huge variety of tea Indian and international.

Loved it. They have a good collection of books from a lot of genres. There is a long bench on the 1st floor that let's one sit n read in peace. The staff is helpful in finding out books of your need and helps you out with any book queries. There is a tea shop on the 1st floor that's bfuly decorated with designs and trivia regarding tea. I spent an approx 4 hours reading, surfing and drinking tea and could have continued longer. The only problem is that the titles of particular authors weren't arranged together and it takes a lot of time to assemble books from various shelves and the staff is also nt aware about how many books of the same author they have strangely.
