Belur Math Swami Vivekananda Temple

This math have good vibes. and also this math is so beautiful.

Spiritual palace... But in holiday it was over crowded

Swamiji’s temple is a two-storeyed beautiful structure in Belurmath. This temple stands on d spot where Swamiji’s mortal remains were consigned to flames. It was chosen by Swamiji himself. His Life records : 3 days before his passing away, Swami was walking on d spacious lawn of monastery in afternoon with Swami Premananda, he pointed to a particular spot on d bank of d Ganga, & said “When I give up d body, cremate it there!” (He passed away on 4 July 1902). On that very spot stands today a temple in his honour. Frm there a peaceful view of d holy river Ganga.

Temple constructed on the place where Swami Vivekananda's mortal remains are cremated. Hence we can feel the devine presence. Loveky place. Entry is all free. But check the timings before going.

The place where Swami Vivekanand used to meditate as part of Belur Math Monk. He used to meditate under a tree. At a young age he left his body for heavenly abode. His last rites were performed at the location where now temple is built. The serenity is incredible and it is on the bank of River Ganga. Other side of Ganga is Dakhnieshwar temple. Great place to spend few hours.

Quiet, peaceful and a great place to visit especially if you are a follower. The museum was the best part.

Place with spiritual significance ... Remains closed from 12noon to 3pm on ordinary days.

And of course it is none other than Belur math.

The Location of this place is quite ashtetic
The beauty of the journey starts as soon as you take a ferry ride ..
It goes through the beautiful heart of Ganga
You will find yourself lost in the beautiful Ganges river..
After that when you enter in the Belur math
The area is well managed no matter how the number of people are there
You won't feel saffocated
The inner part of math where the meditation hall is situated
It is so magnificent you will forget all your worries and tension.

Must visit spcly when you feel low .

Very Nice River Side Math.... You must have to visit.

Good Prosad but remember the timing morning till 12 and evening darshan starts at 3.30 PM.

Good and quiet place on banks of Hoogly river to stroll in the evening

A good temple named after Swami Bibekananda Ji.There is an idol of bibekananda ji along with there is a idol of Om .Good architecture.
