School is nice. If you want to achieve your goals then take admission.I love this school and teachers because there teaching skill is better then others school's teachers and they have monthly activities like drawing, singing, dancing, running, acting etc

The homely atmosphere is very enticing in our school.

Nothing can bring those happy days back🥺❤.... strictness is required in every institution, but what I don't think so no other school can give such memories ❤

I have spent 13yrs in this school. And I have experienced my life's best part in this school. And also those who say that this is worst school please remember that a school can never be worst , this is the responsibility of the students how to make the school the best one!!

I spend my most glorious and lovely 2 years , I got the friends who understands only friendship and no treachery ,teachers are friendly and many things. May this schoo is not on top 20 schools or anything , but this school is the best school than rmmhs and others

Class 1 to 12 .... The journey was unique, was best , joyful , great ...... My friends and had the best time here. Now this is last year and I wonder how time passed enjoying all these years in this wonderful school ...... Some teachers are love , some are okay. This journey could not have been anymore better.

Acctually I am student of this school and it is really awesome school where there are teachers looking after us everyday and we enjoy lots of cultural activites together. I am happy to be a part of this family

I don't know, maybe some people have had bitter experiences and have taken resort to Google reviews. I am sorry they felt such way about HLPS.
I, on the other hand, owe every bit of my very tiny achievements in life to this place! Forget about me, I am insignificant, but I have seen hundreds of people who have achieved great heights in life and who passed out from this school some years back.. you would find gems in every field (not just academics) from this school. From widely popular singers, excellent actors, state- level or national level table tennis players, Chartered accountants, lawyers and the list can go on and on. Even the academically not so bright ones have been able to make really amazing careers in travel and tourism, hotel management, etc.
Yes, some of the teachers have an outdated mindset .. they look down upon young school couples, they judge girls on the basis of the lengths of their skirts or the boys by their fancy haircuts, but these aren't parameters to judge a school by!
Even when a few teachers have such traditional mindsets, they are the most supportive ones you would come across. They will have your back and will remember you lovingly for years and years after you graduate from school.
I love and respect each & every single teacher I came across in school. Pre-primary teachers, primary teachers, secondary teachers & mainly the higher secondary teachers. Maybe I was really lucky to have been in the good books of every single teacher from school.
They can be extra strict, they can be scary, but at the end of the day, they will be the ones who will have your back & encourage you to have a life beyond schools, books and tuitions.
HLPS is the best in terms of the quality of teachers they employ, the very affordable fees structure, encouraging children into co-curricular, quality of education imparted (if you follow the class lectures religiously, you will not have to take private tuitions even in higher classes, except for science and mathematics) and the friendly school children and the members of the non-teaching staff. The school environment is just amazing ❤

An institution which can boast of one of the best teachers who not only teach with great care but looks after the childs all round development. A very conductive atmosphere where the children have lots of extracurricular activities too. The teachers are accessible to all parents if thre is the need.

If it hadn't been for this school, I wouldn't have met the awesome teachers and the awesome gang of friends that I boast of. Standing at the brink of my school life, seems like am ready to give all to start over again, in the same school, with the same friends and teachers. Thank u HLPS for teaching me everything I know. I'll miss u.❤🖤

If oue HLPS was not there, then I would not have been able to study in an English Medium School. The fees is affordable for hundreds of middle class families like mine. I have been studying in this school for more than 12 years from class nursery. There are many happy and sad memories related with this school, but in all I have nothing to complain about. I love the Annual Function, Annual Sports, Independance Day function and picnics very much. If you work hard in studies, you will surely get good results. If you become one of the first three rankers in your class, you will be awarded with books(for all classes) and scholarships(for some specific classes) every year from the school. You can also gain popularity if you are interested in any co-curricular activity. I know, some people may criticize the teachers, but I think that this type of problem happens in every school. So there is no need to hold HLPS as a bad school. After two years when I will have to leave this school, I'm sure that would be the saddest moment of my life. All through these years, HLPS has been like a second home to me. I feel lucky and proud to be a student of HLPS. Thank You HLPS for letting me study here. Last but not the least, I want to thank our Late founders, Late Mr. Hirendra Patranavis and Late Mrs. Leela Patranavis, for starting this school which had been providing education to thousands of students since 1954 and making all their lives and dreams to become successful.

If you want your child to have an wholesome school experience, right from Nursery to class 12 , then this is the go to place. I feel lucky to have such experience and wish i could re-live those moments ❤

What a wonderful place it is! I owe this school a lot. From giving me platforms to represent my performances in inter-school and other competitions to teaching me a lot of lessons in life. The teachers are friendly and understanding. Yup but that doesn't mean they will overlook our faults. I have never seen a teacher so supportive like Satyajit Sir (computer teacher) who believed in me till the end. I never knew that subject could be so much fun. We have Sonali mam... as our bengali teacher. I was so afraid of that subject but after meeting her I really came to know how beautiful that language is. There is a chemistry teacher and her name is Soma Som ... I always wanted to ask her one question "how can she be so patient with us?" There are english teachers in the higher classes---- Sanchita mam, Soma Bannerjee mam and Lopita mam and they are awesome. All the teachers are good and supportive.

I love the school very much because I study in that school and the teachers are awesome. They always try to teach us better

It's the best school and I guess dream school of every children I'm telling you this because I studied here upto class 4 but it's my life biggest wrong decision to leave this school because I failed in class 4 so that I don't want to repeat my class again but I wish that day I said not to leave this school it's my fault I wish I could again be a part of this school but it's too late now. I miss my school.

I am a 2005 passout with Commerce in XII.I have from Prep-12th in HLPS nee BHS.The Principals & the governing body after the demise of the founders spoilt the school.Only the higher-secondary teachers were good.the primary & secondary sections were worst.They were themselves incompetent teachers.Although it's an ICSE/ISC board English Medium school none of the English teachers were master of the language.Not worth studying in this school.

My school :-) . Spent 13 precious yrs here. Helped me make my pillars go strong. A recommendation for everyone. Affordable and quality education. A perfect combination.

This is one of the best schools I have ever seen... I'm not telling this because I had studied here... It is really a good school with good faculty members...
This school has been popular in various grounds besides academic exellence such as in sports, performing arts, indoor and outdoor games, etc. I would recommend this school to everyone because of the strong faculty in English , Bengali and Hindi... No student of this school finds problem in speaking in either of tge languages mentioned above mainly because of our respected teachers, who teach us very nicely at school itself, without any form of professional attitude...
Some people may find it difficult to fit in the situations of a classroom, but it mainly occurs due to students who come from various social backgrounds, but teachers are always supportive to students...
The fees might seem a bit costly, but one will ultimately achieve much more from this school...
This school will always be better than several reputed schools in Kolkata mainly because of its teachers...

Good teachers, nice atmosphere from my veiw point it's one of the best schools of Kolkata.
