8th Day Café & Bakery

Located near AJC Bose Road this American Style cafe and bakery is a great place to grab some quick bites in between some hearty conversations.
The ambience is perfect for friends, couples or even people who need some creative jolt with their arts or screenplays.

The food served here is a culmination of different cuisines in and around America. Coffee, Salads , Burgers etc are some of the regulars here.

I ordered Chicken Tacos and Chicken Salad.

The tacos were very tasty. The tortilla was soft and thin. Chicken and veggies were fresh. It was well complemented by the Pico de Gallo which gave the tacos an authentic Mexican savor.

The Salad was Build your own salad and it was very good. The veggies, the grilled chicken breast and the ranch dressing was perfect altogether.

A must visit cafe in South Kolkata for sure.

Prices are also reasonable !

Surprisingly all food tasted good and drinks up to the mark !

Great place to get a vibe of traditional Italian cafe. As soon as you enter you will be greeted by the heavenly fragrance of freshly ground coffee beans. Service by the staffs were very cordial. Espresso was good but milk steaming/preparation could have been better. Food was quite tasty and filling at a reasonable rate. They offer wide variety of cookies too.

Lovely place for an evening date or hangout with friends. Ambience is good. Ample options for hot and cold beverages. If you love sweet treats then this is the place to be. I recommend their salted caramel cupcake and cinnamon roll. Too delicious.
The place is not hard to locate. It's near Kala Mandir. The staff are always smiling and friendly.

Pesto chicken wrap and Chocolate chunk cookies were very good, Cupcakes were fine, not the best but overall good experience

Very good food. Extremely helpful and considerate service and staff. Love the food and service here. Do try their Cinnamon Bun. Their baked products are fresh and tasty. Have tasted some of their salads too and they are fresh and delicious as well.

One of my favourite cafes in town. Apart from a wide range of dishes and beverages, you also get to play many board games. The place is well lit and beautifully decorated as well. Absolutely love their cinnamon rolls. Definitely recommend the iced Vanilla latte.

Wow the pastries were all scrumptious, and my favorite was the cinnamon roll. It is also warm when they give it to you. A couple board games are available,
WiFi wasn’t working, otherwise this would be a nice place to get some work done

Three words. More than lovely. The food that I ordered was amazing. French press, Caesar salad and chocolate shake and the cost blew me away. It was only Rs. 679 and my jaw dropped. Affordable but the quality was amazing and so were the staff. What motivates me to go again is the atmosphere. I was on the verge of finishing my novel sitting there. So calm! Also a lovely collection of books.

Lastly, I cannot overlook the beverages. The cafe offered an impressive selection of beverages, from expertly brewed coffees.

Popped in just before they were about to close. They were very accommodating and allowed us to order. We had falafel wraps and the bagel nachos which were so welcomed and totally delish. Yes it's more money than getting food from a vendor but sometimes you need something that isn't deep fried. Will be coming back soon.

Nice cafe in the middle of the city. They have nice coffee, tea, and a good selection of food and snacks on the menu. This is the original cafe, but they also have a couple other locations in Kolkata around the city. Once a month on a Friday evening they have an open mic night that is put on by a local business Chaitown Community. You can come and enjoy the cafe and also music, poetry, and other stories from the creative scene in Kolkata.

The best coffee in Calcutta. Cute place on a normal street. Nice and clean with great service. Very good range of food and all our selections flavoursome and value for money. Recommended fir breakfast or brunch.

My favourite place whenever i am in the mood for Hot Chocolate in Kolkata. Especially during winters. Board games, books, hot chocolate and a Cinnamon Bun makes the perfect combination. Do try their Cinnamon Bun & Hot Chocolate.

Their 8th Cold Brew is totally speechless 💯💯💯 Gotta visit again for another cup o' joe ☕

Hot chocolate with was drooling but little improvisation could be done to the red velvet as the cream is excessively sugary.Ambience is too good.Service was also commendable specially Sandeep's behaviour (Arcadia 6)

Great ambiance. Awesome place for an old chit chat over coffee. Must try out the Cinnamon Roll! Best I've ever had!

Went over for some coffee and cookies and it’s the best in the area. Love the old building vibe and seating arrangements. The red velvet cookie was outstanding and complimented the coffee.
