Kottai Veedu Pondicherry

One of the best stay option in pondicherry. Had a wonderful time staying there. Beautiful ambiance. Peaceful place. Had a feeling of staying in a real palace. The caretaker called as Arokiam took a good care of us and helped us a lot. Everyone should visit this place atleast once to experience the royal treatment.

Nice place to enjoy if you're going with family and friends gangs.
Instead of self-cooking, if the cook/ chef is available means, it will be a budget-friendly place to spend on holidays.
Caretaker behaviour was good.

I will give 5 star....because that ambience was mind blowing... not only ambience that entire construction work is just wow and the Helper who is there was just a pure heart ... Helped lot...At last Property owner he also too friendly and keep on updated the status. It was wonderful experience. Nice place to spend weekend with vintage effect

I will give 5 star with my whole heart because that ambience was too too good. not only ambience that entire construction work is just wow and the caretaker Arokyam what a person he is down to earth I will never forget that person on my life time. Actually we came for my husband birthday celebration and they arranged room as per my suggestions. He loved and surprised too. At last Property owner he also too friendly and keep on updated the status. It was wonderful experience.

The Palace was really awesome especially the queen room was outstanding with secret room and the Romantic bath tub Was really Mesmerizing.. This place is highly recommended for both couples and families. The Behaviour of Owner was excellent.. The caretaker with take care of us . And they will provide tea/ coffee at anytime.. The rooms were made upof with lots of mysteries.. It was very pleasant without any disturbance.. We can explore many things there.. Must visit place atleast once in our lifetime..!❣❣❣

The stay was excellent. Care taker Arokyam was kind and approachable. The palace like architecture gives an unique feel. Each of the uniqueness will be explained by the caretaker upon reaching him. It's better to feel it rather than reading everything about the place.
Kottaiveedu is suitable for any type of people.

The best place I have ever stayed.. though it's called as a hotel, it gives you a royal home feel. A friendly care taker , makes one of the most amazing "Masala tea" which keeps the whole day refreshing..
The place is built with a unique foundation and the interiors are way beyond expectation.

The most recommended place to stay and experience the feel of royal and cozy moment which becomes the memory forever.

Next time, staying in the room which has a unique bathtub made of various designs and displays a great experience of freshness.

The overall ambiance is amazing.. especially loved the Queen room equipped with a big traditional bed structure which make feel like you are at a castle. The service staff provided us what ever we ask for made us feel like home. Keep up the good work.

I stayed in queen room for a day with my family and the experience was top notch. This place is for people who likes architecture, especially bahubali fans:) Each room have its own special feature and the queen room is the best with queen style bath tub, which we generally see only in the movies. Also, there is a hidden room to add more real feel of staying in a palace, this room is for queen to hide when there is a war, again I saw these only in the movies. Coming to the flooring, it's antique style silver mixed, and the cot is made of 5 woods which gives a relexed feel and a natural fragrance. You can see lot of antique collection all around the place and the Jula right in front to take pictures. Do take pictures in the darbar setup in 2nd floor with king chair when you visit this place, it's unique. Though it's a old style construction, they have AC, geyser and tv in all the rooms.

Mr. Arogyam the caretaker is a kind person, he took utmost care of my 3 year old kid and always willing to help 24/7.

Please note that this place is not for party freaks or Batchelors. This place is for those who likes to relax by enjoying the architecture and unique castle style features.

Overall it's worth each penny spent and a excellent place to stay.

Great stay with my family. The owner of the property and the care taker made our stay really pleasant by helping/sorting out our requirements in every way.
The house itself is very artistic and its a place where you can click n save for your best memories. Would recommend this place to stay in every way.

Take king or queen room which costs 2500/ 2300 which you get more comfortable beds and bath tubs.
Also good for taking photos. It's a small hotel with creative thought. Service Person aarogyam is very polite and will get you anything and everything you need.

Best Place For a Weekend Stay ... with Historical Architecture and Peaceful Surrounding its worth every Minute you stay. ...The rooms were Big and Comfy with a Palace Looks .. and beds were Huge and Awesome..
Only Cons is its located out side City . .were roads are Not Proper... And The Room Doesn't have Toiletries ..
Otherwise its a Must Go Place for Family and Group Stay It has Bathtubs Rooms and A Swimming pool Too ..i Stayed One night ..had a Excellent Stay Definitely Coming Back With My Gang...

Absolutely loved the stay, especially the rooms were upright neat, glossy and had their own spectacular aspects. Though it lies in the interior this place made our stay delightful and the staff were very friendly in welcoming and throughout the stay. Do visit, stay and find out yourself.

A very pleasant stay and such a bunch of hospitable people. We enjoyed our stay there. The concept of Mughal dynasty and how the place resembled the same was very astounding and treat to the eyes. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Unique Destination for Weekend Relaxation

Me with my little cute family had an opportunity to stay in Pondy Taj Mahal (Kottai Veedu) on saraswathi pooja holidays. It was a pleasant surprise for my wife and Kid , as I didn't shared my plan to them before. The Place access is good, as it is near the ECR. There are about 4 types of rooms with different size and features. We took a medium room, which contains double bed, TV, Water Heater, AC and nice chairs. The resort includes Kitchen, swimming pool and bath tubs (in King and Queen room). Very unique about the resort is that, they will arrange for Special bath with completely rose water, petals and other healthy herbs. It will be very skin friendly and having medicinal values too (cost around 2.0-2.5k extra). We can cook some small stuffs in the kitchen like tea , coffee (helpful for babies). The resort is built by taking references from various historical things like Mughal's fort, Bharatha Naatiyam , Musical pillars, 3D buddha sculpture etc.. The Resort Incharge (Balaji) and the coordinator (Aarokyam) are very friendly and kind. I recommend this nice residency to all for a peaceful and relaxed weekend stay !!!!

Its fantastic to stay here, one of the unique features. If you need to compare with others then it's capable to compare only with the museums we have in our country. If you really explore anything special then book with online or call directly the stay. Must visit place in a lifetime. I assure you "WORTH IT".
