The best looking church in Pondicherry. Lighting is so amazing which makes the ambiance really calm, peaceful and enjoyable. Lots of people visit here since it near to beach. It's old and well maintained. There are well lit status both outside and inside. Best time to visit will be during evening when they turn on all the decoration lights.

One of the famous and most beautiful church in Puducherry. Interior of church is awesome. Church is very clean and peaceful. This church is situated at white town and very near to rock beach. We had started our tour from here. If you want you can listen French mass here.
Opening timing is 5:30AM to 7:30PM.

It is the most beautiful church in Pondicherry. The area is very peaceful. You can come early in the morning and spend time in peace and tranquility. The architecture of the church is exquisite. The paddle is very large. Do visit this church if you are in White Town.

Beautiful church with great architecture. Very well maintained. It is situated in white town. Had an opportunity to visit this church twice, once in the morning and the next time late in the evening and it looked beautiful during the day and night. If you are visiting white town you must visit this church, it’s just a couple of minutes from the promenade.

Heard the mass being delivered in French. A rather new experience. The church is open in the morning and evenings. Please make sure that you plan your visits accordingly. I went around 5:30pm and it was open. Spend some time reading about the history of the church and the sitting around. Definitely is a humbling experience!

Visit to this church was a last minute decision and it was worth. The church looked so awesome with the lighting. It was very peaceful and silent. Interiors of the church also is worth having a look at. Overall, a must visit place when you are in Puducherry.

This is a beautiful gothic french church. With best french interior carving details on the walls, pillars and all over the interior of the church with such good lighting and Colors brightnens up the ambience. This light colour and the great creative carving art work around give a very rich healing spiritual ambience. The beautiful chandelier, wal lights, etc.. it was been so heavenly vibe inside it. I am so glad I came across this church while we were casual passing through the white town. It is One of the beautiful churches of pondicherry.

Prettiest church in Pondicherry! Overlooking the beach and right in the middle of white town, this is a church you have to visit. They've got tamil, English and French masses conducted. The yard and the porch is divine! It's an old church which was started in the 1700 hundreds. On Sundays the French mass begins at 5.30. The interior and the exterior are so beautifully carved and painted.

One of the most beautiful churches that I have seen. I simply fell in love with the peaceful atmosphere inside as well as outside the church. The church interior has a very detailed design and has pictures depicting every moment of the crucification of Jesus Christ. The choice of colours on walls, ceilings and even windows, was very creative indeed. The surrounding campus is equally adorable, with ample for vehicle parking and walking around in the premises. This one is a typical french style church which you may not find at other places in India. Do not forget to visit this church when you are in Pondicherry.

This is the site of a very old church and it is a place that you feel is very spiritual. It is quite simple but it has everything that a church should have with the addition of historical information (written mostly in French).
The place is always "alive" and that means when it is open there are always people there - some to worship and others to visit.
I recommend it for both types as it is my favourite church in Pondicherry.

We just loved this place. It's the best Church with the best ambiance in Pondicherry.. the vibe around here is awesome.. the pink wall the green trees all around and adding to that the beautiful sea view towards the front on the church makes it stand out from rest. U can't compare it to the notre damn church in Paris but yes u won't forget this one too..

This structure was built by Greco Roman architecture by Napoleon III, with amazing natural lighting inside.

A very peaceful church located in white town. Well maintained and neat. It’s nice to go in and see the beauty of the church. It’s been there from 1738. One of the not so well known tourist places, but definitely worth a visit.

The Église de Notre Dame des Anges (The Church of Our Lady of Angels), in Rue Dumas, is notable for its masonry – which uses the finest of limestone mixed with white of the egg – making for a texture identical to that of white marble...it is modeled on the Basilica at Lourdes, in southern France...the imposing façade presents paired Doric columns below and ionic above. In front of the church is a statue of Our Lady with the infant Jesus in her arms...the interior design consists of eight barrel vaults and a central dome pierced with eight circular openings...
It is really beautiful inside the cathedral and is very nicely maintained...

It's one of the most beautiful church in Pondicherry. In evening the lights give the place a stunning makeover. The interior is also beautiful and you'll feel very peaceful around the place. Must visit on your visit to Pondicherry. It's closed during afternoon hours.

Nice church, recommended as a quick stop. The first church was built in 1707 and rebuilt in 1739 but the English destroyed that one in 1761. Then this current church was built again in 1765.

Looking out over the Bay of Bengal, with its frontage facing the rising sun, the church of Our Lady of Angels stands in the former Capuchins' square, surrounded by the streets Dumas, Surcouf and Romain Rolland. Very beautiful church in Pondicherry.
