Cafe des Arts in Puducherry is a gem nestled in a colonial bungalow, offering an authentic culinary experience. The ambience and decor exude an old-world charm, adding to the dining pleasure. While their preparation might take a bit of time, the food's remarkable taste makes every minute worth it. The crepe is an absolute must-try—utterly smooth and undoubtedly the best. It's a place worth revisiting whenever the chance arises!

Really lovely cafe with courtyard or indoor seating - we went twice since it was so nice.

Staff are very friendly and the quality of the food and drink is excellent. The coffee is real coffee (rather than the watered down rubbish in Starbucks etc) and delicious, and if you like hot chocolate which isn’t sweetened and actually tastes of cocoa the one here is for you.

We also had the fruit bowl which was again extremely good - very ripe and tasty fruit and prepared very hygienically .

Ambience of this café is amazing and the interiors will transport you to the past. It feels like a french colonial bungalow and every room is done up differently. Food is pretty much like standard cafe food, the only USP being it is made from organic and locally sourced ingredients. There are nooks and crannies with Vintage decor and it's a perfect place to sit and soak up Pondicherry vibes.

Apart from Coromandel Cafe if anyone (non-vegetarian) asks me to what other cafe/restaurant is a must visit place in Pondicherry, I will definitely recommend Cafe Des Arts. But you have to stand in a que for a while, as the sitting/dinning area is small. It is like a French period house, which has been converted into a cafe. Authentic french foods are available.
We tried Croque Madamé, Créole and ginger lime soda - all of them we tasty.
We like the ambience also.

Ordered croissant, masala tofu and scrambled eggs. All were very good. Ambience is very nice. Problem here is there is only one washroom!! So long wait to use the washroom.
Tables are cleaned as soon as the people leave. Well maintained place.

This is synonymous to Pondicherry, if you are here you just can't miss this. The place is a whole vibe, every wall has some kind of Art to soak in

The Ambience is extremely good, the food matches up.

Their platter is the best choice you can have. Plus you'll get the classic yellow wall you've went on search for.

If you're in Pondicherry, just don't miss this. The only thing to be aware about, they have 2 menu one for morning and one for afternoon, so you might not get everything, everytime.

This place is a must visit, try to be there earlier to get yourself a seat or you need to stand in all queue. The hype about this place is real. The food. They have amazing food, a lil on the higher side on their rates but worth it 👌

This place is so photo friendly that every visitor must visit this place if not to eat at least to get good pictures at quirky wall of this cafe.

I had english breakfast which was so filling and balance proportion.

Cafe is famous for its breakfast and brunch. If you wanna click some nice pictures, this is the place for you. Nice ambiance,friendly staff. Fresh bakery goods and fresh food made all the time. You can even buy organic vegan products from there. They amazing indoor and outdoor seating and bookshelf loaded with books to enjoy reading while have some nice brunch or snacks.

I loved the vibe of this place, the food was good but the service was a bit slow. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Visited this place few days back with some friends after a friend's suggestion,though there is a long waiting line,food is authentic, ambience is nice,friendly staff and we liked their bread very much

Just had the most delightful time at Café des Arts in Pondicherry! The cozy atmosphere, charming decor, and artsy vibes make it the perfect spot to unwind. The menu is a real treat, offering a variety of delicious dishes and refreshing drinks. I couldn’t resist their freshly brewed coffee and mouthwatering pastries. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a relaxed hangout, Café des Arts is a must-visit. A beautiful place to eat yummy food and spend time with the loved ones... Extremely wonderful place.

What a lovely place and ambiance and the service is also way too good, people wait in queue to entire this cafe, not kidding. If in pondicherry, and in French colony, it is one of the best places to have breakfast. Totally loved the atmosphere, and the manager was also great, and the French lady, I think she runs that restaurant, was way too polite and spoke to you very friendly and I totally loved the experience. Don't miss this place. Also, no photos allowed inside cafe, still attaching some photos here.. (sorry for clicking pics, if anyone from the cafe is reading this😅).

A wonderful place with the best food in white town.

A little of waiting time and somewhat expensive for middle class but it's worth paying it all..

We liked the paintings outside the wall of the hotel..

It's one of the most desired places in a white town, and easily accessible too..

The food is so authentic and tasty that stomach is full but not the heart.
