Spent the 1st year of my B.Tech course here. The campus is present in a very calm environment, perfect for studies. Had a lot of fun here.

Great place for innovation and creativity and learning. There are some fantastic teachers. A friendly atmosphere prevails. But the location is a little isolated. The canteen facility needs to do better. Apart from that..campus life is superb.. every young fresh students will love to have the experience of studying here. It's definitely going to be the next big thing in the field of engineering and technology.

Spent my first year at this campus of my 4 year B.Tech course. Nice atmosphere. A bit isolated, but also quiet, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The professors here are very helpful and teach their subjects perfect to the smallest detail.

Foundation of the University of Calcutta
The Court of Directors of the East India Company sent a despatch in July, 1854 to the Governor-General of India in Council, suggesting the establishment of the Universities of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay.

In pursuance of that despatch, the University of Calcutta was founded on JANUARY 24, 1857.

The University adopted in the first instance, the pattern of the University of London and gradually introduced modifications in its constitution

Overall well organised but transportation problem is a big issue in this area. Computer science, Information Technology, Optics, Nanotechnology and some other major technical courses of Calcutta University are being studied in this campus. Although the main official works are still being continued at Rajabajar Science College as well as College Street campus. If the transportation issues will be solved then it will be one of the best campuses under Calcutta University.

Clean campus in a peaceful location. CRNN research center is present inside. CSE, IT, Optics departments of B.tech are taught here.

This campus is situated in Saltlake and has modern facilities... Most of the written tests of the campus interviews of CU are conducted in this campus...

Excellent campus of CU. Great library. Superb infrastructure. The teachers are really helpful.

This campus is for Btech from University of Calcutta.All the 1st year students are here and from 2nd year only Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Optics and Optoelectronic Department is present here and all the other department are shifted to Rajabazar Science College except Jute and Fibre Technology which is shifted to Ballygunge Science College
