One of the best in the nation, needs more improvement regarding forest protection, although they are very good behaved, hope in near future it will be the best in the world. every guards, beat officers, range officers, and DFO's, Managers , are extremely professional.

Very good service. I called them to rescue a snake which was trapped by net almost two days in a pond nearby my house. Once I called them within 30mins the rescue team came and rescued the snake. They are very responsive. Good job and keep it up. Thank you.

Few minutes ago they rescue snack from bbst, baranagar,weldone their behaviour.

Within 3 hours rescue team come and rescue injured fox.

Office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & Head of Forest Force (PCCF & HoFF), West Bengal. It also houses the O/o Forest Department and the Hon'ble MIC Forest after shifting from Writer's Building a few years back.
IFS Officers posted here are professional, experienced, technical experts of their field, very hard-working and friendly. They can be easily approached via prior appointments. It is advised that concerned Officer be first approached so that necessary and clear instructions can be given to concerned staff. Working culture of staff and response is much better than other offices.

Aranya Bhawan is the Head Office of the Department of Forest of the Government of West Bengal. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests is the Head of Office.
The primary objective of this Forest Department is
1) afforestation and tree planting
2) people's participation in conservation and development
3)biodiversity conservation in the state etc
