Liked the place. Good well maintained fishes. Took a female orange molly from there. It's really good. Liked it. Behavior of the owner is great. Had little problem locating the shop yesterday.
Those who have problems never protest against the fraud animal breeders operating all around Kolkata and are now accusing a honest shopkeeper. The people who are posting negative reviews are themselves wrong.

The owner is a polite guy, you can get glass tanks built or resealed over here, there is a couple of variety of fishes, you can get small sugar gravels over here which have been quite a bit hard to find nowadays in a LFS. The shop is located in a cramped space, so had a little trouble finding it initially.

I was looking for an aquarium (2" * 1" * 1", 6mm or 8mm), Kartik da asked for a price which was 4.5 times Galiff street Sunday pet market (for a 8mm glass tank), more than double from the local competition. So yes, it is established now, he asks more, by quite a few folds. I got the same tank from another local shop (read my other reviews) with 8mm/12mm configuration, in less than half of his asking price.

Now let's talk fishes: The live stock didn't look healthy comparing to other local businesses, but I found some species like praecox rainbow young-lings (going for 130 a pair) which I couldn't find in other shops at the time of this review.

He was quite proud of his accessories stock however. Mostly the same stock which is abundant in Galiff street whole sale market.

Overall, not recommended. You could use this as a stop gap shop, i.e. worst case scenario kind of thing.
