Cons:
1. Compared to the price of Rs 999 thali, food portion was less.
2. There can be options of having cheaper mineral water (Bisleri, Aquafina, etc) rather than having the ones which you get at the airport.
3. Prices of Ala carte menu is high compared to the food portion provided.

#If you want to have thalis, make sure you are informing them much before, else you have no other options other than going for Ala Carte

I loved the prawn cocktail they served us. It was a bit tangy, perfectly flavoured and the presentation was actually beyond my expectations. I tried the AAM PORA SARBAT TOO. It was way better than i have tried before. One thing I must say it is pocket friendly. I was astonished to find out that they have both fish and chicken in the 499 thali. No resturant in Kolkata serves fish and chicken at the same time in just Rs 499.Due to less time i couldn't try all the items. But would love to come here again. I would recommend everyone to visit this place.

This restaurant serves authentic Bengali Thali of Rs 999(shareable thali), Rs 599 and Rs 499. Try their their Aam Pora Sorbot!
One must try their Bhala Hilsa, Vetki Paturi, these are mouth watering! Also they serve Chinese and Continental as well as pocket friendly snacks and beverages too. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating options.

Recently I visited this Bengali restaurant with my friends. We ordered their Special Bengali thali and few Chinese and Continental items. I got to know they prepared most of the food items using Bata Masala. Here you will experience authentic Bengali dishes and not to forget to try their Aam Pora Shorbor and Chapor ghonta which tastes delicious.
According to the quality and taste price is so reasonable. So if you’re planning to try authentic bengali cuisine you must visit this place.

I really liked the food

Bengali delicacy at its best. Mutton Jali kabab and chapor ghonto were pure bliss! Last but not the least, super cordial n earthy behavior of the owners will make your family lunch or dinner extremely satisfying. Strongly recommended and a must go if you are looking for authentic Bengali cuisine.

I found this place today morning googling for a good Bengali restaurant. Very very surprised with the quality and taste of food. My taste buds had a new experience with the thali we ordered. I would recommend to everyone to try the food here certainly won't be disappointed.

Me and my friend went to Tanur Henshel for my Aiburobhaat (Bachelorette). I had the authentic bengali thali which was way too delicious, each n every item of the thali was just amazing. My friends ordered Chinese which was also delicious. The mutton was the show stopper. Will definitely visit here again with my family and friends.

The vibes of the place was too good. The food was awesome and authentic bengali food. Today we celebrated the anniversary of mom and dad. It was a superb experience.We ordered veg thali.. The taste was too good.

The ambience of the restaurant was excellent. We ordered mixed fried rice, mixed hakka nodules, chilli chicken, and fresh lime soda. All of the items tasted excellent. The only gray area was the waiting time which was more than an hour but it is understandable as it was Saptami night and we had a group of 20 people. Even, the Bengali dishes served to our friends tasted excellent. Overall, it was a very wonderful experience. It is a must visit restaurant if you are looking for quality food along with good portion size.

The food speaks for the quality itself.I came here to eat loite jhuro. It was delicious. My recommendation would be though to have Aam pora sarbot and Elish bhapa. They don't use any powder masala, they use all authentic bata masala. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Each and every item is served with care / expertise. Really good food as good as 5 star may be better than .. Must ask for mutton chhap & Mucha Sami kabab ( veg)

We had Pabda fish curry (L) with a plate of tawa rotis (3 rotis per plate). It was good in taste. The food took time in preparation because they cook fresh food. The restaurant interiors resembled a Durgo Puja pandal, I loved it and also the wall paintings by Biswajit Das. Must visit!

Excellent food. I had pure bangali food and it was spot on. Must try the Lote macher Jhuror jhal and bangladesi kalo bhula mutton. Loved it. And finally the fried ice cream !! 😍😍😍

Don’t know where to start from . Starting from the kaacha aam sarbat to chatni everthing was so delicious. Perfect place for aunthentic bengali dishes. Must try ghee sukto which is now my personal favourite . Also try chicken , another favourite dish. The behaviour of the owner and staff is very nice. Special thanks to the owner.

Being an ardent foodie and an avid connoisseur of the exotic Bengali Cuisine, Tanur Heshel provides the most authentic offering of Bengali Food in the City of Joy. Be it the cooking process or the freshly grinded masalas, it all screams out authenticity. And as can be seen, we got so engrossed with our weekend lunch, we forgot to take any pictures of the food. However we managed to click a picture of the ‘Ice Cream Bhaja’ which was immensely delectable by all means. Here it goes 😋
