Nice place for biometric appointment us visa.nearest metro station is maidan. They are so nice and well behaved. You can also carry your bag no worry. They will provide a place for keeping bags. You can take your valuables like mobile and wallet in the room.

The people working there were friendly and helpful, and also clean. Which is very rare in Kolkata. Everywhere you go, there will be spit stains or trash all around.

Guests are not allowed to go inside along with the applicants. Neat and clean place with high security arrangements.

Despite the extremely large crowd, everything was well managed. Took slightly under 1.5 hours from arrival to walking out post interview. Staff is polite and helpful.

Please carry all your documents...switch off the mobile and do not carry any bluetooth device like,Ear pods,Smart watch..

The process of biometric is very fast. No need to wait in queues. Just go to your scheduled time.

I had a Drop box appointment. Security at the gate are well behaved and organised. The VAC staff are also well behaved. The whole process was smooth.

We must be there 20min before our appointment, they will not allow us before, there is no facility for sitting. So it's better to go just 20min before. We can carry our mobiles but we have to switch off them before we go inside.

Neat clean place with high security because of U.S embassy

The place is well located. You can carry mobie phone under switch off mode inside. If you carry any bag you can keep it outside at your risk. But it is quite safe as security personnel are there managing the queue. If you take your car you can park at fabindia showroom building. You can easily pass one or two hours at fabcafe. You have to spend some money for food but it is worth as you will be able to sit in AC environment.The staff at. VAC are quite helpful and the centre is professionally managed

Very positive experience.
Very well organized and friendly staff. You can switch off your mobile phone and carry inside. Bag allowed till entrance. Smart watch and other device not allowed. Very small center with 4 counters. You will be allowed inside only 15 mins before your appointment you need to wait on footpath so plan accordingly.

Nothing specific, well organized. Just one suggestion to people coming here for Dropbox: please do not come early, they will let you enter the building just before 15 mins. So if you come early, you will have to wait outside just next to busy traffic road.

Very helpful security personnel and other staff as well. As posted by many, one can carry mobile phone but ONLY in SWITCHED OFF mode.
As far as bags are concerned, many were asked to keep their bags on the floor (at a corner) before entering the VAC room.
As of today, masks are mandatory. Body temperature is checked. Need to carry DS-160 confirmation and Appointment page (print outs mandatory). For applicant under 14y, carrying of photographs is advised.
Had a pleasant experience.
If any applicant has medical problems and super seniors, he/she can request for earlier biometrics.

The office of the VAC is located in a poss office building Jeshmine tower , Shkeshpere Sarani. The ambience of the tidy office is nice and all the staff including the Securities are helpful. It's on the first floor. The number of the premises is 32 ShkespHere Sarani opposite to a KMC PARK.

Process was smooth. Time allotted to me was 10:30am, I reached a bit early, they allowed me in after waiting for 5 mins. I was finished and back in my car by 10:34am. You are supposed to bring a mask, I forgot 🥲 but the staff provided me with one. For F1 visa, only DS160 confirmation and interview confirmation documents are needed. They take picture in the booth itself.
