What to say....Actually I was surprised to see such a beautiful hotel...This mansion is actually looked like a palace converted to hotel...All rooms are awesome. Bathroom very very clean..You will get one drawing room for relaxation...Even there is a dining table...You can have your food there just like you eat at home...All the staff members including the lift person everyone is like a family..I miss them so much now...Just Go To Sunflower..

I'm amazed by the unjustified negative reviews this exceptional guest house has received. It's disheartening when people don't appreciate the incredible value for the price. I recently stayed at Sunflower Guest House and paid only ₹1400 per night for a Good AC room shown in the pictures. Trust me, it was an incredible deal considering the overall experience.

The room was clean, including the washroom, bedsheets, and pillows. The AC worked well. The rooftop garden was my favorite feature, offering a stunning view of the city and a perfect spot for relaxing with an evening tea. Overall a good place to stay

The rooms are clean. Their service is top-notch. The building is from the British colonial times.

Very good rooms at affordable price. They have a lovely garden where you can sit and enjoy lovely view amidst nature 🌿🍃. Staff were very polite and friendly nature. They arrange food as well. Will stay there for sure whenever I visit kolkata. Will recommend to everyone. 😊

I loved my stay at Sunflower. Just the fact that such a hotel still exists makes me happy. The old colonial building with the iron door elevator is just gorgeous. Sure, it's dusty and crumbling, cleanliness can be an issue, but the rooms are actually very adequate. They're great value for a bit over 700 Rs and the location couldn't be better, just a few minutes walk from Park Street, the metro and the Central Market. Even if you're not on a tight budget but don't mind roughing it a bit, I'd recommend a stay here, just for the experience

Superb hotel in a budget.Highly recommend for a people who plans to stay in budget. 24hrs hot water and the extremely nice people welcomes you are the best experience you get when it comes to the hotel. Although rooms may not be of your expectations since this is one of the oldest hotel in kolkata you'll get that old vibe when you are inside. Other hotels maybe better than this but you have to twice than this remember.

One of my favorite hotels in India to date (3 trips and a year of traveling in India). It's certainly cheap, old, and no frills, but the rooms are clean, the elevator up to the hotel is always fun (great view through the floors), and both the building itself and the rooftop are fantastic. They held our bags after checkout until our night train without issue, too. The location is also fantastic, as it's right around the corner from the action, but is on a quiet side street. I'll definitely stay here next time I'm in Kolkata.

Historic feeling. Nice location, top floor stairs are bit scary for vertigo people. Basically location is very good at these price.

The beds are comfortable, the workers are friendly, and the hotel is remarkably clean for Indian standards. Always a pleasure! The best part: I work online, and this hotel has free, blazing fast wifi (again, for Indian standards). Double rooms start at around 1,000 Rs, several hundred more for AC.

I stayed here and believe me I had a great experience. The staff was very kind and helpful (I would like to take the name of "Sabir" here). Futhermore, you can access all sorts of shops nearby. Indeed, value for money.

If you visit Kolkata, stay in this guest house. It is in the middle of everything. All good restaurants are near by. Metro station and all the things which you should visit are not far away. The guest house is in a beautiful old building, the rooms are affordable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Best place at the price . It's located centrally and easy to go around . Food shouldn't be a problem as all the restaurants are located walk away distance . It's safe esp if u planning a trip with family . Its hugely popular among foreign tourists and almost half will be occupied by them . Maintenance is very good compared to indian standards .
