Vélo Café & Le Velo Box (multicuisine restaurant)

My experience at Velo Cafe and Velo Box in Pondicherry was truly exceptional. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior design and decor gave a cozy yet modern vibe.

The coffee at Velo Cafe was outstanding. It was clear that they take their coffee seriously, and the baristas were skilled in their craft. The aroma alone was enough to draw me in, and the taste did not disappoint. Their pastry selection complemented the coffee perfectly, making it a great spot for a morning pick-me-up or a relaxing afternoon break.

Velo Box, on the other hand, was a haven for cyclists and fitness enthusiasts. The range of services they offered for cyclists, from bike rentals to repairs, was impressive. It's a place where you could sense the passion for cycling in every detail.

What sets both establishments apart is the friendly and attentive staff. They were not only knowledgeable about their products and services but also genuinely interested in ensuring that customers had a great experience.

In summary, Velo Cafe and Velo Box in Pondicherry are more than just cafes and bike shops; they are hubs of culture and community. Whether you're a coffee lover, cyclist, or simply seeking a welcoming place to unwind, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

The best breakfast I've had so far! white chocolate waffle was yum! I highly recommend this!

One of the rare occasions where I suggested this place to my friends bcz of the colorful ambience but their food was equally good and we were surprised.

We tried veg clear soup (3/5), chicken tandoori (4.5/5), paneer tikka (4.5/5), Squid pepper fry (4.5/5), schezwan chicken noodles (4.5/5), mushroom gravy (4/5), butter roti (4/5), garlic Naan (4/5), Chicken Rara (2/5) and a few shakes and icecreams.

Their chicken tandoori was perfectly cooked and had enough spice and flavours. Squid pepper fry was top notch, prepared with a simple masala and sauted in local style (however, a little costly). Scezhwan chicken noodles was also tasty, made with right amount of spice and sauces.

They served tandooris with a cup of complimentary mayonnaise which we liked. However, they charged for additional order of mayonnaise (15₹). They may consider to serve more complimentary mayonnaise.

Chicken Rara was a let down as it was nowhere close the original recipe.

The service was very gentle and courteous. They spoke kindly, listened to our order with patience and gave necessary clarifications whenever we enquired about any dish from the Menu. Their service team deserves a special appreciation! 👏🏾

First thing came to my mind about velo cafe is their ambience, loved it. Nearly spend 1 1/2 hrs in that beautiful place. It was maintained very neat.
Pesto chicken pizza will be my favourite now onwards, one of its kind i would recommend this to anyone who need to pick pizza from their menu and for shake would recommend brownie crumble milkshakes it was really good.

Finally for food - 4.8/5.
Ambience - 5/5.
Price - ₹₹₹.

The chicken strips and the pancakes are to die for! Chicken wings are amazing too. The cafe is small and has a really cool aesthetic aura. Must visit.

I have been here so many times and it was a good to go place before.
But from last 2 times its been a disaster.
Last time when i ordered veg they gave chicken.
And today i went with my friends and everyone got food poisoning after eating here.
The tandoori chicken they gave had a kerosine smell in it.
We literally got food poisoning.
Never ever recommending this place to anyone again.
Disaster.

One of the many underrated eateries in Pondy. it's got a wide range of cuisines wherein the dishes are made with exceptional care and expertise. a must visit with friends and family! I recommend their chicken platter which serves a variety of Indian kebabs and grill

Le Velo Box : Very neat food ordered Spicy mariarana pasta,Paneer Butter Masala,Butter Naan,Dragon Chicken,Fishe finger,Schcwaan Prawn noodles,Chicken Cylon Parota..Everything taste so damn good ...Fish finger & Dragon chicken is a must try..

Velo cafe : One ⭐ only ; worst food i had ever..I was diagonized with food poison after having pizza here...They served pizza with old cheese

One of the best cafes that reasonably priced ( even though it looks expensive ) it serves justice for the food that’s served. The food is freshly prepared and you can feel it. Vibe is good and concept of designing the place with cycle and it’s parts is amazing. Highly recommend. Keep up the great work team 👊🏻

Good cafe to have food here. Owner is really nice. We had brunch over here which was quite heavy in terms of all food items. We had pasta, burger, spinach-mushroom omelet, pancake etc, all items were well decorated and good in taste.

Cycle themed cafe with the usual menu but with good taste......

Great Food along with Great Ambience. Great design in a small pack of container. Each floor is of different style.Nice and comfortable place for dine. Taste was awesome and unique. Price was decent. Must try place in Pondycherry.

Cosy little place that serves really good food. Loved the Hawaian salad, BBQ wings and Chicken burger. They also have an interesting menu for kids that includes waffles and chicken strips.

Best place for a really quick lunch in pondy. Ordered chicken noodles, soup and mutton biriyani, crab lollipop. All tasted good. Ambience is so sweet. Lot of place to take really good photos though the space is very less. The most important thing is Sodexo meal pass in accepted here

Tried this place after a while of thinking. Its really worth it, this cafe is one of the best continental cuisines in Pondicherry.
We had Chicken cream soup, pasta, pizza, french fries and mojitos here and it was a great experience.
> Taste - DELICIOUS & that's it. Authentic continental taste. They do it like a pro!!
> Cost - Justifying. Totally satisfied with the charges based on what they served and how they served. Worth it.
> Service - Timely, polite & courteous. They even mention if certain order take time or if delayed but serve it on time.
> Serving - Excellent. For French, fries you'll get ketchup and mayonnaise with mild salt sprinkled. For soup, the bread toast that was served with was perfect & each item you order will be served the way it should be. This type of serving you get to see rarely these days. 100/100 for this.
> Infrastructure - Decent however due to less space busy hours could make the experience difficult with crowd.
> Hygiene - All good except for mosquitoes here and there but not interrupting your eating. Though they had all measures like All out, etc in place these guys found their place in.
Overall a great place for frequent visits with delicious taste, Courteous staffs and justifiable cost. Enjoyed the experience.

We had our business meet for around 3 hours plus. The ambience was so good. Since puratasi month, majority of us had to go with vegetarian food. We were little worried on getting vegetarian food. But to out surprise we had a lot of options on vegetarian food. Nonetheless non vegetarian options was quite good. We just loved the way the waitress Ms.Thara served us with smile. We were put up in second floor. She came up and down like about 15 plus time. Would definitely recommend and return again.

Its really yummy. Atmosphere is good. Basically i am a vegetarian so my preferable choices of food are available and tasty. Price is worth to the dish. Quantity and quality of food is really great.

This is basically a container restaurant. This place is too small with great ambiance and they maintain well. This is also a best place to take pictures and all. Here I ordered a mojito, brownie , falooda and icecream, the taste was too good. Totally worth to spend your time here.👍

The place has one of the best ambience . Well it would be hard if you have more people. Other than the cafe welcomes you with a good cycle art work!

Food served with high quality.
But the kitchen or food preparation was done in front of us and it was nice to see except the cooked vapour and steam was chocking which was a discomfort for the people sitting inside.
Hope they find a better way to get the exhaust fumes out.
