The place was very comfortable and easy to find. The caretaker Rabi da is awesome. He made our stay fun and happy. The rooms were neat and clean. AC worked nicely. It was a proper 2 Bedroom, Dining, and kitchen apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed. Tea and Coffee sachets were replaced in time. Water bubbles were provided. Rabi da was very responsive. Their terrace area is the best. I spent a lot of time there, and shot many videos for my pages. Connectivity is quite nice. From the Rabindra Sarovar Metro it's ₹20 by manual rickshaw. There are a few sweet shops within walking distance. It's just opposite to Swiss Park Nursing Home, and hence very easy to find on the map. For longer stays you can buy groceries and a few vegetables nearby, in small gali roads. Talk directly with the caretaker and you'll be fine. Hosts don't stay there and probably remain busy to respond well. The Wi-Fi is not too fast. We used Mobile Data. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Thanks!

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

A place which will remain etched in your mind forever . The aesthetic taste of Chanda family is reflected in every nook and corner of the house. Not only the beautiful ambience but the warm hospitality of the family is what we found exemplary. Located in a very accessible part of the city and well connected , the place is perfectly suited for both business and pleasure trips. The rooms are neat, well maintained and as comfortable as home. The family terrace which is open to the guests as well ,is absolutely breathtaking. What deserves special mention is the awesome mouthwatering food prepared by the mother of the house. If you are keen to know the city well, you are in the right place. Mr. Chanda and his lovely wife are extremely courteous and enthusiastic and can guide you well to explore the city. Will definitely recommend this place to others.

Mirra Homestay is a lovely place to stay in Kolkata. The host is very warm and just a call away. The workers cleaned and sanitized the room daily, they were very hospitable. We really enjoyed the breakfasts every morning!

This is by far the best homestay i have availed in India. The location is very convenient , it's just about 300 metres from Rabindra Sarovar Metro Station. The Chanda home is very stylish, spanking clean and super safe. The host Nandini & Indranil has a huge knowledge about the city and are of great help. Super value for money.

This is one amazing homestay. Great hosts Indranil , Nandini Maam and Indranil's mother. The breakfast is to die for specially the bengali breakfast. The terrace is superbly done and a great hangout zone. The property is super safe and just a couple of minutes walk fron the tube station. The travel stories of Indranil is a bonus, he has traveled to over forty countries and a very interesting man with varied interests. Will definitely come back again.

Five stars are not really enough to review this place.some more special stars needs to be added for the warmth and ever smilings hosts.
This place was recommended to me by one of my friend and i will further recommend it to others who truly wants to feel a home away from home.
The piping hot breakfast cooked by the lady of the house( mrs.monidipa chanda) herself and served with a lot of love and care makes a refreshing start of the day.
The rooms itself speaks of the upscale taste of the hosts and every little detailing from the walls to the staircase will bound to attract your attention.
Going for a walk to discover more about kolkata with Mr.Indranil Chanda and his wife nandini chanda will obviously carve some fond memories for all the guests.
And special mention to be made about the oasis( roof top lawn) which is a breath of fresh air in the city life.
Overall this place is well connected with metro facility and other modes of communication and i will cherish staying at this " slice of heaven" for a long long time.

My stay was perfect in every way. The room was very aesthetically done with period furnitures. The breakfast was basic yet very delicious. Rabindra Sarovar Metro about a 4 minutes walk and the connectivity is great. It's a great option at this price point.

Amazing homestay, Indranil is a great host and has a superb knowledge of Kolkata. The breakfast is served by his mom Monidipa which is super delicious, make it a point to ask for bengali breakfast, it is to die for. I stayed in the room named 'auro' which was superb with a very ethnic feel. The terrace is very well done up and a great place to hang out. The walk with Indranil was very informative and a must do.

An amazing experience of truly Bengali hospitality. Kudos to Indranil & Nandini for maintaining the rooms and terrace garden in such a beautiful manner. The breakfast was extremely bengali. Thanks to the mother of the house. They were kind enough to invite us for one of the morning Calcutta walks. Which was quite interesting. Keep up the good work and sincerely hope to see you both soon.

This place is fantastic. The room auro is super , very authentic and ethnic. The mamma of the house and her breakfast of “ luchi and sada alur torkari “ is to die for. The young couple Nandini and Indranil really makes you feel at home. I strongly recommend home stay at this place when you are in Kolkata

Kolkata, also known as the city of Joy, that pulls me here very often…. But I feel to know the city you need a friend or someone to guide you a bit. This city is one of the oldest city in India and former capital - one side little messy and the other side has hidden pearls and of course joyful for all types of people in the society, despite your bank balance…. But you need someone to guide you to the right places for you to get the flavour of the city….. the city is amazing and very matured. I got lucky since I first stayed with Mirra Home stay, that’s where I met couple of bongs in their roof top party, then I got to understand the class of the people and the city, there I met Indranil Chanda, the owner of this property, that’s the best thing to happen… the guy is another proud bong and seems to be knowing the city much better than the people I have met so far…. From the British Calcutta to present city of Kolkata…he has immense knowledge on the heritage, culture, food, hang-arounds, the value streets and shops, even morning walks till night life, … he can advice you to the best of the city (if you can catch hold of him in his busy schedule)…..and of course with a very comfortable homely stay …. well don’t miss the morning walk around the Rabindra Sarovar lake, that just a walking distance away, one of the best place to start the day healthy.
