Sea Side Guest House

The most striking feature of this lovely, well maintained guesthouse is that it's right on the beach. You can watch the sunrise right from your room if you're lucky to get a sea facing room, or you can walk to the beach and do early morning yoga there! Super neat and clean room. Well maintained hotel.

Food: Limited Buffet Breakfast is complementary and the staff will arrange for a lunch/ dinner if you order for it in advance. However, there are many restuarants nearby including a vegetarian restaurant, "Selva's Sea View Restaurant", right next door, which we found to be very tasty.

Car parking: There is limited indoor parking for 4 wheeler.

Amazing guest house. The rooms are huge and ideal for big groups. The view from the room is fantastic. We could watch sunrise from our bed. Food is also tasty.

I loved staying at the guest house and will definitely be returning.
The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Saravanan, his English is so good to help with the onward journey before returning to the UK. The attention to detail in the room, toothbrushes, toothpaste, kettle, tea, water, lockable cupboard, towels, a hanging rail in the bathroom for wet clothes, comfortable bed, room cleaned daily, good WiFi. The breakfast - both Indian and eggs / omelette, toast. The location with the beach across the road to watch the sunrise. Loads of eating places nearby and more. Felt so safe as the gates are locked at 11pm.

This is a very good guest house managed by Sri Aurobindo Society. The guest house is at the beach. The room has basic amenities but is very well maintained and clean. The staffs are friendly. The vibration of the place is good. If you are seeking to stay in quiet, friendly place - this is a goto place. Needs to be booked well in advance in peak seasons

A beautiful sea facing guest house with fine rooms and decent tariffs. The staff are well behaved and facilities given are good enough comparing the tariff rates.

What a place :) awesome location ... Systematically maintained ... Well managed staff ... The location is the best of the best I have experienced ever especially on beach side locations ... Clean and tidly maintained ... The hotel takes care of the environment and maintained the premises.

A very nice and decent place for a stay with family. This guest house is being run by Aurobindo society and a calm n quite place. Property is little old but its well maintained and have all amenities so that you wont have any regrets. This guest house is a non smoking zone and alcohol is also not allowed. The property gate closes by 11 PM and will open only by 6 AM. Non vegetarian food is not allowed in the property but the compimentary breakfast was quite decent. Rooms are comparitively damn cheap considering the ambience and location. You have the option to choose rooms with/without balcony. I have chosen a sea facing room and the view from the room was simply mind blowing. Every sea lover will love to stay in this room for sure. Parking alone is a concern as we have to park the car outside the room in a very small road. If you are visiting Pondy with your family and looking for a safe and peaceful stay, this will be the ideal one. But if you are searching for some bachelor enjoyment, strict NO to this place as the rules are very strict!!

I stayed in this hotel last week in April 2023 for 2 days. Rooms are pretty decent size, clean (nothing fancy), staff are courteous and polite. Morning breakfast was good too. I had a clear view of the sea from my balcony and hotel is just across the beach. So it was easy to get wet and come to the hotel to change. The beach side is always crowded and people and walking or sitting on the beach road. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The prices was also comparable to other hotels.

Amazing place for a weekend getaway! The room that we stayed in was East facing. The sunrise was fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay. The caretakers are extremely caring, prompt and efficient. We found the housekeeping staff very dutiful and obliging too. The food is nutritious and tasty. Cleanliness is maintained.
A few suggestions :
A small TV in the rooms can be thought of, for older guests for catching up with the news or sports updates in the evenings as they have limited movements. A tap near the main gate in the lawn, can be arranged for the guests to rinse their feet before they enter the building. The sand from their slippers after sea bathing can be washed down below.

Best place to stay at rock beach, food is excellent with south indian and English breakfast options, one should definitely stay here if you love calm, rules are there in place some might feel they are strict but absolutely the best,staff is always available and very helpful, cleanliness and hygiene is thier first priority.

Awesome location, just in front of Rocky beach. Breakfast is very tasty with a limited spread. Best is the location, lot of food options within 500 m. Enjoyed the stay in Sea side guest house

Had a sea facing room. Loved it.
Was super clean and spacious.
The air con was nice and cold.
We had an amazing time sitting in the balcony listening too the ocean without having to be amongst the crowd on the road.

I was travelling with my parents who really enjoyed this guest house. The view from the room is just magical, the guest house is very clean and quiet. This would always be my first choice for stay in Pondicherry.

The guest house is very nice and cosy and right on the beach. The only downside that I faced was the bathrooms doesn't have any exhaust fans which makes them very stuffy despite of the fact that they have got one window open all the time.

I had to cancel my booking elsewhere owing to personal reasons and don't regret at all. Very simple and quiet place on Promenade beach. They serve only veg food and lot of options nearby if you want seafood. Room facility at price point provided is great value. Polite and dedicated staff. Parking space is on road at own risk. Would definitely recommend to friends and colleagues.
