Excellent!! - the kind of discovery that makes exploring a new city worth it! The home-style, vegetarian Rajasthani fare, cooked on an open wood fire, is served ladle-full (and one piping hot chipati) at a time until you manage to tell your server you truly have had enough.
The sign at the front on Cotton srreet is clear enough but you must keep going to the top floor to find Omji. Definitly worth the climb! While the menu is pretty much the night's thali the variety of flavours is wide! It's a family run business frequented by locals in the know. Visiting the Howrah bridge and the Barabazar is a good way to work up an appetite that will deposit you hungry at their doorstep.

Located in the heart of Burrabazaar business area. Excellent quality and taste of food. Authentic Marwari / Rajasthani food. Very cordial owner and staff. Very homely ambience. Loved the place.

Got regular thali as takeaway. The food was tasty and wholesome. Will definitely order again.
