It has always been a good experience to went saptapadi. The platers are really authentic and I specially like that welcome drink.. people must have tried their fish fry. And the overall ambience and bgm makes it more homely.

One of the affordable Bengali resturants in kolkata based on the theme of famous Bangla movie Saptapadi. We ordered kolkata vetki fry, sada vat , vetki paturi , sajnekhali chingri , chital peti and mangsher sipahi among which the best dish was the vetky fry according to us. They capture picture of every customer with prior permission and provide a print out of that photograph as a gift. Staff behaviour is very good , specially the manager, he is very attentive and well spoken. Before leaving you can pick up paan from the plate which has kept near the exit. Overall very good experience.

This place must be called the best Bengali dine in near Gariahat area; the ambience, staff and most importantly the food is best in class. Want to try authentic Bengali food ! Must go...

Very good ambience and service.Food portions were good and every dish was delicious.
Chingri malai curry and the Celebration Thali were the highlights.

Simply Superb.For this puja ,Normal thali & Ilish thali are great.Dab Ilish , Prawan , Bhetki ,Reoaji Mutton just superb.All the staff's behaviour nice.Head of the staff who give me one glass of energy drink as extra l mean free of cost as per my request..just chill..Thanks to him.I have visited @9.40pm on 22.10.23(Astami),Closing time was 10pm,Inspite of that all foods are good except two pieces of kabab included in thali.But I think it is ok because it was already in late for us..Anyway It's superb restaurant.Also 99/-off offer is runnings in thali for your next visit..Thanks.

The food is really good and hospitality is brilliant. The place/seating arrangement is a little congested but the authentic food covers for it all. Had a great time.

Went for simple Bengali food and was pretty satisfied. Though some of the dishes (mocha chingri, bhetki paturi) could have been better.

I visited this place on a weekend. The crowd was too much, we had to wait for around 30 45 minutes but the food was worth the wait.
Saptapadi serves authentic Bengali food all of which tastes totally amazing. The fish fry is a special attraction. It's big and composed of only bhetki mach without any extra spices. The crisp and the fresh taste of the fish makes it drooling.
The price is reasonable and the quantity is good.
The only issue is that the restaurant is a bit small as compared to the crowd it gets.
They arrange for all sorts of special occasions like aayiburo bhaat if we inform them before.
Overall an amazing experience.
Fishfry, polau and mutton kosha is a must try.

Authentic Bengali cuisine with delicious dishes. Ambience is very soothing. A perfect place to have awesome food with family. Quantity and quality both are taken care of very well. A must try being a bong and definitely not being a bong.

As a Bengali (West Bengal(Ghoti)) I have enjoyed each and every item.
I have taken special thali, which covers this restaurant's signature dishes.
The first thing I noticed was that the taste of every item is different according to the dish. Second the quality of chicken and mutton both are good. But I would like to ask you to handle prawns carefully (in some of them the stick is visible).
If someone loves to eat the quality and quantity of food are good and adequate. One last request to Saptapadi to increase the Rasgulla's and Payesh's bowl size.
At the last I want to say, I am eager to taste the dishes again.

A very nice place to try Bengali cuisines. Tastes were like home cooked food. Staffs were courteous and knowledgeable about their food. We tried Muri fish in starter as suggested by staff. It was very good. In drinks we ordered aam pora sorbat and lichu Lanka sarbat, both were awesome. Second one was really different. Then we ordered dhokar dalna, chitol muittha, Mishti polao, achari gondhoraj chicken, luchi and one fish thali. Fish is sufficient for one. They serves one katla recipe and one panda/chingri/ilish of your choice. Rice/ polao. Dhokar dalna and chitol muittha was like home cooked one. Not spicy but still delicious. Last we had patisapta ice cream as dessert. It was a good one too

Visited the restaurant today with my mother & husband for lunch. The place was full & we had to wait for about 15 minutes to get a table but it was absolutely worth it. We placed an order for 3 thalis, 2 Fish & 1 Chicken / Mutton. The waiter who took our order was excellent with his customer service skills and he was even better being a sales man. He managed to sell us things we were not sure of & it was the best decision ever.
The food was excellent & the 3 of us over ate. I enjoyed everything that was on my plate. I would rate this place 10 / 10.

Here we order Aam Sorbat,Veg Thali,Special Fish Thali and Chicken Mutton Thali. The price is somewhat higher but the food is worth the amount paid. Everthing thing over here was fabulous and tasty. The serving was excellent. We just love it 😍.
