IRCTC Sampath Rail Yatri Niwas

I've been there in early October. Asked them about rooms and tariffs but an uncle aged person replied in a very rude manner. I've been to a lot of places but never met a person like him. Very rude, pathetic behaviour.
Dear, IRCTC, Train your staff to behave properly. There's no Monopoly in this.

It is really totally worth it to stay there..i will always recommend this dormitory for a single person..

The stay is excellent as always. Best value rooms available for both AC & Non-AC. Spacious, Neat and Clean Room. Large beds. Chairs, Glass Dining Table, Work Table, Long Mirrors, Clean and Fresh attached Washroom and others are available inside the room. The staffs are polite, helpful and well behaved. No disturbance, complete security and confirmed booking with PNR number. Security deposit of 100rupee is refundable at the time of check out. Outside food is completely allowed. Balcony is attached with room. 2min walking distance from Howrah Railway Station platform(s). It is situated in the New-Complex of Howrah Railway Station.

Very much safe and sound for all. Best stay in Howrah Railway Station location.

I had opportunity to use Rail Yatri Niwas at Howrah station last week and I must say I enjoyed my stay.

I booked a bed in dorm which is priced at just 220rs + 100rs deposit which is very reasonable.

To book a bed or room one must have a valid ticket to or from Howrah.

The room was very spacious with 10-12 beds which very adequately apart from each other and the bed was clean too.

Bathroom & toilets were also well maintained.

The only thing I didn't like is even though there were several beds available in dorms the receptionist insisted on taking a individual room which is quite expensive but since I always wanted a single bed in dorm he made me wait saying there are no rooms available and he will immediately assign a bed once it becomes available.

These 5 stars are for the room.
Room (Non AC) ones are very spacious and was very clean
Since this is a privately owned one, they start with AC rooms, upon negotiations they will say there is only one Non AC room available and upto waiting and much negotiation they will offer you the dormitory
The receptionist are so well trained that you will end up staying in AC room.
Since they had to make their own money and this is what is business. So yeah overall a good experience, nice ambience, spacious, clean. All good

Rooms are super clean. Bathrooms are also nice. Individual cupboard with locker for minimum refundable charge. Stayed at NON-AC Dorm with 220 rupees. New linens for new occupants. Less crowded. Very affordable to spend time. Cheaper than outside dorms. Just above KFC or Mac D.

Comfortable spacious rooms with clean bathrooms , fooding isn't available and room attendants are too much greedy

It is good to see that it is open to stay amidst the pandemic. SOP is followed . Friendly staff are always a soothe. having a locker fot dormitory beds is a real relief when going out for food etc .. I think stairs are locked to avoid public traffic in large , hence lift is the option .nice beds with individual power socket .

The waiting hall is really awesome . It only charges 10rs per hour with ac hall , great washroom , clean cold water , clean toilet, charging service etc . The review of howrah bridge from it's roof is good .

Yesterday I (Bijit Dutta) hired a A/C room ( 113) in Howrah station at 9 p.m, the reception executive that time asked me that 2500 rupees will be the charges against the room, I was not having the sufficient cash to pay immediately that is why I used my debit card to pay, he asked me for 200 rupees I paid him cash at that time. At the time of getting the proper bill in the morning it was not mentioned the 200 rupees took by the person.
I am sending the scan copy of the bill along with.
Waiting for the refund of 200 rupees.

Good place to stay during onward journey. Low cost stay, service is good, staff and receptionist behavior is good. All type if accommodation e.g. Air conditioner, Non AC, double room triple room, dormitory available here at cheap rate. Safe ,secure and clean place. Good Quality of food also available at ground floor, you can also enjoy KFC and Pizza Hut here.it was a great stay for me.

IRCTC yatri niwas is extremely best to stay with safe. Receptionist, service person staff members r so much well bhevioured. Room condition is properly maintained even neat and cleaned... hygiene is maintained by IRCTC. But while booking you have to pay₹ 100 extra with total fare. It's better to stay in IRCTC yatri niwas than outside hotel room. Thank you.

Rooms are bigger...Neat and clean..All the staffs are eager to earn extra bucks...Non ac rooms are not available.. Don't know the reason..You have to pay 1000 to 1200 Rs min for a day booking.. Actual rate is lesser

Superb supportive staff, great rooms and suite, jokes apart one can have room service.
What you need more is plenty of options in everything downstairs whether it's type of restaurant or food varieties. Take a ferry ride to the other side. What else you need? Take a plunge.

The rooms have great facilities, the premises are completely clean and the service is top notch. One doesn't need to leave the room in order to get anything. The staff caters to all the needs at the earliest.

Clean and nice ambience. Staff members are polite. Comfy rooms with balcony and they provide geysers too. Overall a great place to stay near howrah station.

Very specious room. Rooms.are neat and clean. Location is attached with howarh station. You can easily catch your train any time of day and night. Every room has a beautiful balcony where you can Enjoy the view of river Ganga and the Howrah Bridge and the city of joy Kolkata. Beautiful place for family, couple and old age persons.

Very clean rooms, it is in the primices of howrah Jn only.. There is no advance and online booking facilities not available.. First come and first serve basis. From the rooms the view of hooghly River and Howrah Bridge is fantastic.. Worth for money.. We are enjoyed the stay in sampathi Yatri niwas
