Bravo Pak Agus Bei for pioneering and consistently looking after the mangrove. Meeting the bekantan for the first time was really unforgetful experience.

Very nice bot ride offered at 300k IDR. You might not see the proboscis monkeys but will still enjoy a nice and relaxing boat ride through the mangrove out into the river.

For best monkey viewing come early in the morning or late afternoon, they don’t enjoy the heat.

Unforgettable experience, we were lucky to meet the man behind all of these massive hectares of mangrove forest. Pak Agus Bei, such a humble man contrast to his enormous achievement.

Other than that, the Klotok Boat ride was so joyful. Suggested to visit and take the boat ride along the waterways and among the tall mangrove tress in the early morning or late afternoon. Chance of meeting the Bekantan Monkey is high.

Which we did, met 3 groups of Bekantan and spot a crocodile chilling by the river bank

Great view and service. You can ride a boat along the river with maximum 6 people and it costs 300k only which is worth to try. You'll see mangrove forest and groups of bekantan. The toilet is also clean. Better make an appointment before so that you won't wait for long time.

Good tourism place. You can rent a boat and look around. If you are lucky enough you can see the monkeys jump and play around the trees. Also they say thay the water have lots of crocodile. But when you go around woth biat, the crocodile will hide since the boat have quite noisy sound. So it’ss totally safe to see and go arround this area.

One of the must see place in balikpapan. Came in the afternoon and we got to see some monkeys.. the scene also beautiful kind of like mini amazon

This place has a beautiful sceeneries and very relaxing ambience. If you want to visit this place you better visit it early in the morning so you can catch up with Bekantan, an endemic animal of Borneo.

the boat tour is definitely a must! the scenery is very nice, if you're lucky you can see some Bekantan hanging on a tree(or some crocs on the river). the tour takes about an hour long. i recommend to go around 5PM if you want to enjoy the sunset!

Great place to visit. You can rent a boat and circling the mangrove conservation center and greeted by a great view around. You also can meet some proboscis monkey if you're lucky. Overall it's a totally worthy place for your visit.

Beautiful mangrove and cheap boat. Good ambiance to spend with family and friends

So far this is the healthiest mangrove habitat that I ever visited. People whos come to this place were taken to wandering around the mangrove forest by boat. We can spotted Bekantans that hanging around the trees so easily. This forest is a home for many kind of animals, people are often called it as Little Amazon.

It's a good place to visit when you're in Balikpapan. Around 30-45 minutes from town to Kariangau and you will arrive here. Take the boat and enjoy the view of mangrove river. Best time to visit at 5pm so you can get the sunset!
