Incredible experience for dinner. Amazing, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Which is helpful to navigate the MASSIVE menu! So many great dishes to pick from. We loved the goulash, and the chicken supreme dishes- both paprika and Gorgonzola sauces. Even the homemade bread was excellent. They even have their own house coffee roast. Every dish was delicious and we’d happily do it all over again.

Perfect everything! The food its the best in all the restaurants in Hungary, we went twice on the same day to eat there. Lot of soul in the food and all the ingredients. A restaurant all people that want to try traditional food with heart should go! Amazing!
Make a reservation!

Great service, great food and very fair prices. Rosenstein came highly recommended and lived up to expectations. It's a little hard to find, tucked away in a side street on the edge of District 8. Definitely bigger inside than it looked. Goulash soup was great, chestnut puree was something else. Very fancy toilet with built in hygienic seat cover too!

American here - Had a great experience. Got the venison filet and really enjoyed it. Service was great. Staff was a little abrasive at first but we were able to break that and had a great time with our server. Wife had the teriyaki and vegetable pasta (vegetarian) and she really enjoyed it as well. Overall, great experience and happy we came!

Fantastic food, exactly what I expected which is good! The bone marrow was yum, the schnitzel juicy, the pickles spicy! I had a G&T so cannot comment on the wine but my partner says the wine was good. You can buy roasted coffee to take away, Cook books and even cappuccino glasses. Great service. We did not book but were exceptionally lucky on a Thursday evening to get a table. Ring to book a table especially for the weekend well in advance. Popular and worth it.

The food was incredible. We had venison in orange sauce, which reminds me a bit of typical czech svíčková, but a bit more fancy version, and a venison fillet with croquets. Both AMAZING! Also the ball soup. If you want nice quite restaurant with fancier food. Defo recommend ;) worth every penny.

The best meal I ate in Budapest, the food was filled with so much flavour and cooked perfectly. No surprise it’s a hit with celebrities and has so many good reviews. The service was also pretty good, and good value for cost. Only complaint would be that it’s located in a bit of a sketchy area near the train station.

We had the goulash soup, the game ragout in red wine and mushrooms and the veal paprika with egg spaetzle. Everything was delicious and the waiter was super nice! It wasn’t very cheap, but definitely worth the money. The only flaw is probably the location outside which smells really bad and seems kind of dangerous during the night.

Wow!
Had read that this restaurant was highly recommended - it is every bit worthy of those reviews!
Would recommend making a reservation as it does get busy.
Beautiful restaurant with friendly, welcoming, helpful, staff and a fine dining but relaxed, fun, atmosphere. The food was impeccable. We had the goose crackling to start, followed by Weiner Schnitzel for me and the Duck Breast for my son. We both had lemonade to accompany the meal - classic and raspberry - again, excellent and did not manage a dessert this time unfortunately.
The bill came to HUF22,110
A very reasonable amount for a fabulous experience

Th gulash soup was amazing! The venison in the orange and tangerine sauce was also very good! The croquettes and the sauce to die for however, the venison was just a bit too tough.. The home made palinka and ice cream were also delicious!

Our favorite family restaurant in Budapest..
we celebrate here all our family occasions..
Year after year, amazing quality off food , service and atmosphere..
not in the center, but totally worth the ride..
but book a table in advance, because it’s always full.. and people enjoy sitting for nanny hours.. it’s very cozy and inviting

The food was exceptional, had the Hungarian chicken supreme , it was really well made , the gravy and the potato dumplings in it were so so good. The place is always full so so reserve and go. The staff is super nice and kind. Loved the place and food.

The food here is incredible! I ordered the goulash soup which was fabulous and my mother and girlfriend agreed. Ask for sour cream and add it to the soup it’s even better! I had the venison with orange sauce and it was out of this world. My mother had a pasta and my girlfriend had the chicken. All of us were very happy with our meals and the service was excellent. The price for everything was very reasonable especially for the high quality of the food and the server was great. I also had a freshly squeezed orange juice that was fresh & wonderful. I’ll definitely go back here this week it’s that good! Cheers

Reservation mandatory if you want to eat here. If you don't have a reservation they most likely won't have a table available.

Delicious goulash and homemade bread. I'd definitely recommend it.

All the food we tried was delicious. The staff was very attentive and provided recommendations when prompted to do so.

All in all, it's definitely a place to revisit if I'm in Budapest again.

Nice, old style, classic restaurant. Waiters are in white shirts with black ties and speak English. The menu is in several languages, and the order was ready in 15 mins.

Mammoth mountains of (delicious) meat. Game, liver, chicken, fish, goose, all cooked to tender goodness and seasoned nicely. Soups and salad galore as well. Portions are large and are usually accompanied by something starchy like a pancake or dumpling. A nice sampling of Hungarian (and other Eastern European) dishes. Service is fast and very tourist- friendly. Recommended!

The food here is wonderful, I suggest duck meat on chef offers part. Service is great, the atmosphere is fun and always crowded with people around. Price is reasonable, compared with some restaurants in Budapest.
