It was really an awesome experience. We lived the ambience, the service was excellent and very fast. The extra Christmas menu was so good. It was very quiet and the music fit perfectly. The portions were absolutely perfect for the price. Even the cake, coffee and the cocktails were very tasty. We stayed there over 2 hours and enjoyed every minute.

I first visited this restaurant 10 years ago and held a very good memory of it. A decade later, it still impresses with delicious meals and a warm, cozy ambiance. Nestled on the hill beside the castle, the walk to the restaurant is very pleasant. This place remains a must-visit for a lunch break on your way to or from the castle. Everything we ordered was truly delicious, including the wine ! The service may be slow due to the limited staff, but the waiters are very nice and the overall experience is definitely worth the wait.

First time trying Hungarian food. Everything was so tasty. Great environment and service. Highly recommend! By the way, the portion is quite generous, we ordered a soup and main for each without any starters, and the waiter recommended the cucumber salad as a small side. We ended up feeling quite full.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on our last night of travel. Our server, Matthew was terrific. He guided us in our food and wine choices. We felt like we were dining at a friend's house. Thanks for making our meal special!!

We only had time for a slice of chocolate cake, but it was marvelous. The couple next to us has the Weiner schnitzel and it looked crispy and covered the whole plate! I hope to find time to go back - it looked wonderful.

Food at 21 was delicious. I had goulash and cucumber salad, and it really pleased me. Food looks and tastes amazing, and it won't disappoint.
The staff was very friendly and kind, I felt welcomed and looked after.

Very good food. Our party had their wienerschnitzel which the portion was absolutely huge but deliciously done. We all got to try a sample of it. I had the duckling breast which was cooked deliciously and had dumplings and a sauce with pears that were poached also very good. Another member of our party had the chicken paprikash which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our wait staff was exceptional. The gentleman was so knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging with our party we thoroughly enjoyed him. Very quaint restaurant with delicious food.

An excellent example of Hungarian cuisine. Located in Buda, not far away from fishermen bastion and Mathias church, this restaurant offers many typical dishes at a fair price. The staff was very cordial and professional. The bathroom was really clean and scented.

A really lovely restaurant. It is firmly in tourist land so my expectations were not sky high. I was pleasantly surprised by a good chicken paprikash and side salad. The glass of wine was also nice! I sat outside and enjoyed the romantic view. Staff were friendly and easy going.

Came to this spectacular restaurant serving delicious hungarian food last Friday.

The waiters were impeccable, professional and very kind, I loved their attitude and their composure during a busy Fridy night service.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and is a complete joy to sit outside when it is a beautiful sunset evening in Buda. Complete bliss.

My schnitzel was fantastic, well portioned and made. My partner's beef stew was even better and the magnificently tendered beef was divine. My solmoi (traditional hungarian desert, bit like a trifle) was lovely, nothing extraordinary but did the job and my partner's forest cake was presented very well and tasted as it looked with a wide variety of flavours occuring.

During our 4 day stay in Budapest I can categorically say that this was the best restaurant we went to on our whole trip. 5 stars for everything, it is essential you come to this restaurant.

This is the best restaurant in whole Budapest. We've been there a couple of times and everything was perfect, food is so tasty, drinks, prices, very friendly staff and ambient was so cozy. Highly recomended.
If you are wine lover you should definitely try Bodrog Dry Tokaj, tastes like heaven. For the starter: Gulyás leves Elö and Lencseleves, csülök, these are soups and I don't know which one is better. For main dish i recomend: Marhapofapörkölt and Bárányszöz, téli zöldségek.

This was the first restaurant thar I visited in the Budapest yet the best one so far. Staffs were really polite and nice. The food was amazing as well. This place gives you a cozy vibes along with good service. Loved every inch of the restaurant and will definitely visit again!

Friendly service, awesome food and cozy, comfortable place for a lunch in the Castle area. The taste of traditional Hungarian food is just like at home! Could have more vegetarian offers though.

Absolutely fabulous meal. One hour in Budapest and headed straight there and not did not disappoint. Staff is very helpful in recommending special dishes. We enjoyed the fried foie gras, Pinot noir wine, bread, Black Forest cake dessert and palinka.

This was one of the best places we have ever dined. Our waiter was wonderful, very helpful about the food and drinks. My wife and I split the wienerschnitzel. There was more than enough to share. Then I had the iconic sponge cake. If you are in the Castle District of Buda, you gotta go.

Good experience, delicious food, and slightly strained service. Not sure what the standard is in the city, especially with the places that try for distinction, but there’s a bit of impatience with the guests that feels like it shouldn’t be there. Very good bread and traditional dishes without cheating.
