OMG! Amazing! We booked a private tour cheaper than anything through the ship. We got treated like a celebrity.
We had a quick walk to a clean SUV. Then right to monkey’s and sloths. It was sprinkling and the driver covered us with large umbrella walking into park. Best to go in morning, sloths most active time. Betty was our guide there. She was sweet and informative (prebook here also)
After we went to the lookout. Beautiful view of the ship and cute shops.
We then went to the Roatán sign for photo op. We followed that with another monkey sloth park. (People say it’s the best but we prefer the first better) we had a private tour there also. We had an amazing time and never felt more spoiled. I can’t say enough about this tour. I definitely plan to use them again!

My family enjoyed the animals, especially the sloths and monkeys. Max was a great guide. My wife and I also did the zip line. Our guides Luis and Malcolm were fabulous. We had so much fun. The zip line landings might be to rough for young kids. The drive from cruise port to tour was only 5 minutes. I would highly recommend this experience.

We booked a private shuttle with Victor Bodden and everything about our tour was AMAZING!! Our driver (Larson) was the BEST!! He took us to the sloths and then drove us through West End. Larson went out of his way to share the history of his beautiful island with us. He also took us to Little French Key where we spent most of our day. I highly recommend Victor Bodden tours and request Larson..he is amazing!

Pretty good tour company. They seemed organized. Our driver “Big Al” was great. He really took care of us. He got us to the front of the line for the monkey and sloth tour, made sure we all met up in the right place, and was not just a driver, but really a tour guide. The sloth’s were amazing. The whole family got to hold one, even our three year old as they had a small sloth there for him. The monkeys were the highlight too. It was really amazing. Big Al took us to the beach as well, made sure we all got chairs where we wanted them, and showed us around. He was a great tour guide. The driving was pretty exciting, but it’s an island, so what are you to expect? Steep hills, curvy roads, and great views. You really get to see Roatan with these guys.

Only draw back was probably our own fault. We got off the boat early to try to get an early departure like our email from them said, but there wasn’t enough people to get an early departure, so we waited quite a while before we could leave the port to start our day. I’d show up to port towards the definitive departure time and not show up early so you don’t have to sit there waiting to leave. Plus if there’s another cruise they’re serving, and they have an earlier dock time, those people are leaving before you most likely. Be patient. Your on island time. You’ll have a good time.

We also had to walk down a fairly skinny island road to get to our tour van due to how busy the port was. We didn’t mind, but be prepared to walk down a skinny road with very slow but congested traffic on it to get to the van that your tour guide has. As long as you understand this is what the island is like, it’s an okay experience. It gives you a chance to see the local culture too.

this was the highlight of our Western Caribbean cruise and it was all thanks to Victor Bodden Tours.

We met the tour guide at the cruise port and were taken in a shared van to the animal park and zip lines. This was one of the coolest experiences I have had - holding all the animals was a dream for my little kids. Then we got to do about 10 zip lines across a large valley with beautiful views.

My father in law has Parkinson's disease and makes it very hard for him to walk. The workers at the zip line center were so patient with him. It was great for our family to be able to experience that together because of their help.

I would say do not hesitate to sign up for Victor Bodden. I am not sure why they only have 3 reviews on google but on tripadvisor they have a few thousand - you can book with confidence.

We booked directly with them. I believe we were the first group to get to the tour kiosk. But we weren't able to leave as the first group. Somehow we got stuck with another couple who had a different itinerary. We were all taken to the monkey and sloth place, which was good. Then we got dropped off at a beach resort. Our driver said to pick us up at 10 local time. We got ready to leave at 10 but did not see our driver. Other local drivers tried to help us and called the company to figure out where our driver was. Finally almost 1030, another driver came to pick us up and said the original one was stuck in traffic. Maybe we just had bad luck. If we were to come back, I'll be booking a different company.
