Bodden Tours: Mayan Jungle Canopy Zipline | Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary

Super convenient way to see & hold the monkeys and sloths that is a must do while in Roatan. We stayed in West End and Mayan Jungle is just a mile from Half Moon Bay. You get to hold the sloths and parrots while the monkeys will sit on your head and pick your pockets. :) Several other animals to see also and some pretty views of the mountains. We just wanted to do see the animals so we cannot speak to the zip lining, ATVs or other tour options. The animal experience was only $15/person if you walk up and does not take long. We did go on Sunday so it was just the us and our guide and no tour groups. Even though it only about a mile from Half Moon Bay Beach, you do want to get either WhatsApp them for a free shuttle or we did a taxi for $5/person since they are working on the road which makes it very dusty and congested. Would not recommend walking. Once the road construction is done, we would totally be willing to walk our 50ish selves there.

Skip the overpriced excursion on your ship and set up a day with Victor Biden. We had a great day with a personable, private driver. We did everything we wanted to do, at our own pace and helped the local economy. We tipped everyone well and still spent way less than if we had done a ship excursion. We set up the day online, in advance. It was very reasonable. We went to their desk at the port and got into the van with our driver. We talked about what we wanted to do and then did it! Zipline, sloths, monkeys, parrots and then an amazing beach with great service and food. Best day of our cruise!

Great place to be interactive with the sloths and monkeys. Was overwhelmingly busy the day I went. But it's understandable. I feel they did a good job getting us in and out in a timely manner. Tours are guided, so you can't really explore the park by yourself

The sloth and monkey experience was great. The monkeys were friendly and did great with my younger children (6 year-olds). The sloths were the highlight. Was able to hold them. We got to see a baby sloth only 41 days old.

We had an amazing time on this excursion. The workers are very friendly and informative. Highly recommend the zip line!

Must do adventure while visiting Roatan. The zip line was awesome and there were several to do. The staff were friendly and engaging. The monkeys were adorable and friendly. They have several sets of monkeys that interact with the visitors so they don’t get overwhelmed by too much human interaction. The staff makes it clear if the monkeys or macaws don’t want to interact they will not and will not force the animals to.

This is the second time we visited the sanctuary and we had a great time. The tour takes about 30-45 minutes depending on how many people in your group. We haven’t done the zip line or ATVs, however their pricing is reasonable and you could definitely spend a whole day here. Plenty of shaded areas as well to stay out of the sun.

We had a great tour guide. Luis... He took us to all the places we could think of. He let us know the good spots and took us to them all. I recommend Bodden Tours. They are reputable and know the island.

We had the best time with Victor Bodden Tours. We got to plan out our own day and our personal tour guide Ben took us everywhere. The price point was fantastic!! We never felt rushed and got to enjoy all parts of the island. We zipped lined, held monkeys and sloths, went snorkeling and lunch at a great local spot on the water. Great for all ages. Even my 4 yr old got to zip line!!! If we are ever in Honduras again they will definitely be our first place to call!

We have booked here twice and loved both excursions. We always include hugging sloths as the first part, then we did the zip line first and the second time we rode ATVs.

I want to say a big shoutout to George Martinez our tour guide. Michael who showed us the animals and Kervin who took us zip lining. I can’t thank them enough for giving me such a great experience overall. I highly recommend spending your time here when you are in Roatan.

Best way to start our day… seeing, learning about and experiencing the animals. Holding the sloths is always a treat!

We did fun and sun tour and hugged sloth, monkeys played on our shoulders, and went to west bay beach club with free chairs. The snorkeling there is amazing. It was a group tour so others may have a different boat schedule than you, but our guide worked it out so everyone had fun. He even came back to port ti give us our phone we left on the van. Great value for the money.

The people here are really great at what they do. From the zip line guides, to the animal guides, to the gift shop, to the drivers who get you there. We liked it so much we came back to do it all again. Zip line course is really fun, about 45 minutes over 8-10 platforms. The animals are very interactive and seem happy and well cared for. The gift shop has some great local art. They will pick you up and bring you back as part of your park experience so spend your money in the gift shop. It is really easy to communicate with them on What’s App to arrange your ticket and ride.

Highlight of our cruise was Roatan! We felt completely safe the whole time. The Zip lines were a lot of fun. The guys went above and beyond to help my 77yr old mother to make sure she was hydrated and comfortable. They also taught y 18yr old son how to do flips and go upside down while zip lining. The sloths were really neat to spend time with as well. It felt a little rushed but it was fun to hold them for a minute. Our driver was nice. He brought us to a place to eat after we went zip ling and to a choc store. After that it felt like he wanted to just drop us off at the port and be done. A little disappointing but it didn't take away from how much we loved Roatan. I would still go back and do it all again, but I would hope to get a different driver.

The absolute highlight of my cruise birthday celebration! I HUGGED A SLOTH!! 🤗 They are an amazing team of people, from Kelvin (the 👌 best tour guide) to the zipping guys and the animal caretakers who work with the animals daily to rehabilitate and educate the public on some of the awesome animals that inhabit the island! I cannot wait to visit again and see Michael and Michelle again (two of the cutest capuchin monkeys with a rocky marriage 🙈🙉🙊). Then we were taken to a beautiful beach resort and had a blast in the turquoise waters of Roatan. Our time was well spent in Honduras, and we look forward to many more visits!

My partner couldn’t stop crying, 15 dollars to hold and see the animals and the guides are really lovely. 10/10

We had so much fun at the Sloth Sanctuary and Zipline! Victor was amazing with the critters especially the Birds. My wife wanted children again after holding the sloth... we're in our 50's. The gentlemen who guided us through the zipline were awesome and safe. The whole time there was great. I would definitely recommend going to the Mayan Jungle Zipline and Victor's Monkey's and Sloths. Try to go on a non-cruise ship day.

We booked a tour through Bodden and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. My husband is in an electric wheelchair that requires a van with a ramp. He cannot transfer out of his chair. A lot of companies say they are ADA compatible but we often find out that they in fact are not. Bodden tours provided us with type of vehicle we needed and our tour guide kenny was phenomenal. He knew just where to go and park so my husband could get out at the stops safely, and knew the best places to go. He answered all of our questions and pointed out several interesting aspects of the island. Hands down the best touring experience we have ever had!

We took a Victor Bodden tour in Feb 2024 and we're extremely pleased with the service. After getting off the cruise boat, we easily found the tour kiosk and Victor greeted us and introduced us to our driver, Francisco. Francisco was absolutely wonderful, he took us where we wanted to go, plus gave us a lot of information and history about the island as we drove along. He took us to some great souvenir spots and an awesome beach side restaurant that was our favorite on the whole trip. It was a fantastic day.
