AJ's Monkeys and Sloths

This is an amazing place our guide Tex took us here and he is absolutely the best guide you will get. The staff here is amazing and really care about and know a lot about their animals. If you love animals you MUST go here. You get to hold the guinea pigs, birds, sloths, and get to be in with the monkeys which will jump all over and on you as well, they are very light so you barely feel when they jump on you. Absolutely must see if your in the area, you will not regret spending any time you. LOVED IT! From the animals to the staff, loved every bit of it

Last year (2023) While at port when on a cruise, my family and I booked this excursion with AJ’s Monkeys and sloths sanctuary. This was truly one of the highlights of our whole trip! Everyone was super friendly, the animal interactions were amazing. After spending time with the animals, my family then did some snorkeling (I stayed behind) and they said that experience was one of the coolest things ever.

We had a great time visiting with the animals, the staff was super knowledgeable about each animal and safety was #1. We had the place to ourselves and had time to enjoy each animal and learn more about them. Thanks a bunch, highly recommend!!!

Very cool experience! The guides were really good about watching out for the animals safety and making sure everyone got a photo op. Well organized tour to see them all and interact. We were happy that our tour from Roatan Seaside Divers took us here!

We got to hold guinea pigs, sloths, macaws, and capuchin monkeys (although really the monkeys just jump on your head 😂). The guides were funny, and they really made sure everyone had time with each animal. The sloths were definitely a highlight. They are so sweet!

Loved visiting with the monkeys and sloths! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We also got to hold baby Guinea pigs! I was so in love with all of the animals. The animals all seemed well taken care of. This was the highlight of our vacation.

Oh my the best experience ever. We called last minute on a cruise and they arranged our transportation Edward who was amazing!!! The animals are well cared for and to hold them is a truly remarkable experience!! We also went snorkeling with them and is was perfect!!

Best thing I have ever done on our many cruises. Can’t rave enough about it. Tex, our driver, gave us an amazing tour of the island and was so safe and wonderful. The workers who handle the animals clearly love them and take amazing care of them. My family and I loved holding the sloths and having the monkeys play al over us. We didn’t go through the cruise line and that was better in my opinion. We basically had our own tour rather than being in a big group. Awesome!

The ease and affordability of booking this excursion was top notch. Hands down, this was my FAVORITE excursion ever. It was more affordable than the cruise line, had great, knowledgeable, tour guides, and everyone was super nice! Super easy to get to the meeting area and to reserve your spot. Book directly with AJ's - it's definitely worth it! Memories of a lifetime.

Sloths, monkeys, macaws, fun!! Great staff. 11/10 recommend! Excursion from the port provided transportation. Can be booked directly with cruise line (Royal). $15 entry fee if not in a cruise party.

Wonderful time with all the animals. The staff was very nice. Was raining but we all had fun. Great for every age.

My husband and I had the best time! The sloths were my favorite part. I was able to hold one, and she was soooooo cute.

The staff were also very knowledgeable and kind. They answered all of our questions with ease.

The love for their animals is strong. They were amazing, so organized. I felt they did an amazing job educating our small group about the animals. Really enjoyed them, best stop on our entire trip.

My sister and I had THE BEST time here! The animals were so fun and the guides were very friendly and knowledgable. We added on the snorkeling and we are so glad we did! We saw so many neat things and our guide was very kind to point out a lot of things to us. I highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful experience at AJ's! We were picked up outside the port (Mahogany Bay), where the rest of the tour buses and taxis are waiting (the driver had a sign for AJ's). We were driven by Tex, who was an excellent tour guide, and went above and beyond to provide us with a wonderful experience! The grounds were very welcoming (as were the animals), great staff, friendly and knowledgeable! 10 out of 10 would recommend and will visit again! Be sure to tip in your way out and the driver! 🇺🇸 🇭🇳

We visited AJs Monkeys and Sloths last week (Feb 2024) and had a fantastic time!! The animals at this sanctuary are well cared for and the guides (including Dylan) are extremely friendly, caring and knowledgeable. We had lots of fun with the guinea pigs, macaws and monkeys, but the highlight was definitely the sloths, they were incredible. We were all able to hold one and weren’t rushed at all. This was a lifelong dream of mine to hold a sloth, and I can’t thank AJs enough for such an amazing experience!! It was easy to book directly through the website. The fee is very reasonable, communication was great, and transportation from our cruise ship was included. I highly recommend AJ’s Monkeys & Sloths and would love to visit them again!!!

who explain everything, knowledgeable. the animals are clean, happy, they are doing well here. entrance fee is only 15 dollars per person, it is worth it for the experience and contact with the animals! I highly recommend a visit.

This place is Amazing! I can't remember the girls name that picked us up from the port but she was so sweet and so accommodating! GIO! GIO is the absolute best! He gave us like the entire history of Roatan and was the nicest! Glad to hear he is a Bad Bunny fan too 😊 AJ's was soooo chill and relaxing and the animals were incredible. We thought the sloths were going to be our favorite but the monkeys were the best. Thank you all so much for everything! We will be back for sure!

What a fantastic shore excursion! We booked directly with AJ’s and had an amazing experience! Our guide Jensen was so patient and accommodating which we needed due to some luggage related issues. He even took us to some local stores for necessary shopping! Overall it was an amazing experience with amazing service and a personal touch that was above and beyond what we had hoped for!
