Apartments Chez Milady

Milady is a very generous host, she took us to the city with her golf cart and showed us around. She took the time to sit with us and tell us about places to see and do on the island. She also took us to town several times during our stay.

The place itself is so special, like a cabin in the forest. Everything is green and quiet. It is an ecological stay so you might meet some creatures you’ve never seen before but that was so fascinating and special (and completely harmless).

Location is great, far from the noise but just 15 minute walk from the city (3 minutes by tuktuk).

I would definitely come back again.

Incredible experience. I haven’t experienced hospitality like this in a long time. Milady takes her time to meet, greet, and offers many recommendations. That is a lost art in the accommodation industry.

Nice spacious room. I highly recommend!

We had 2 strongest moments in the middle America. One was watching volcano Fuego from the top of Acatenango and the second was You and your energy on Utila island. I hope that I will be able to visit your appartment again one day and spend lazy week on your lovely island. Be healthy and happy and take care. Milady was a fantastic host, she went above and beyond to help us when our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather. Made contact with ferry company to change ticket dates for our connection to Roatan, called hostel management on another island to facilitate us being able to spend an extra day on Utila. Gave us a tour of the village area of Utila on her golf buggy- told us some history of the island, bought is oranges and showed us where to eat! On her advice we went snorkel at Neptune's and ate delicious food there- we were not disappointed!

The accommodation is spacious, set in beautiful grounds- 10 min walk to town. Large comfy bed, hot showers- if I could give it 10 stars I would!!

In January my wife and I spent 4 nights at this beautiful, forested, quiet, clean apartment located only a few minutes walk to downtown Utila. It is set among old growth trees and has a walkway set with well tended flowers, plants and a rather elegant outside picnic table available for use by guests. We have lived on Utila for over 20 years and were staying at her apartments because our’s was rented out during a period of time we wanted to return!!
Milady is a friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic, fun loving person that truly enjoys meeting new travelers on Utila. She is more than ready to discuss anything and everything you might need to know about things to do, places to go, restaurants, diving, island history, and frequently offers tours to familiarize guests with all that Utila has to offer. She is keenly interested in serving guests In any way she can to insure a pleasant stay.
Additionally, Milady is an accomplished artist and rooms have her original paintings on the walls. She has her gallery in her home and is open to sharing it by appointment with interested guests.
We very highly recommend her apartments to anyone interested in enjoying a beautiful rural and quiet environment during their stay!

There are not better place to relax and enjoy Utila's nature.
Surrounded by a green garden and beautiful vibes chez milady is a place to relax.
I love her well educated dogs which greet me every time wagging their tails.

Ok so here is probably the longest and most complete review I have ever written, because Chez Milady is totally worth it!

First, Milady she is PURE LOVE. Seriously, I had never had such an amazing dedicated and helpful host! From the moment you arrive she expends a reasonable amount of time explaining the rules of her home. Then we had continuous to-dos and not-to-do advises, including encouragement to go out and visit places despite bad weather conditions, which was the best because the sky cleared after some hours and we had an amazing time everywhere we went! She also gave us some lifts to the town center whenever she could and told us the history of the place and of some special characters as Dr. John.

The facilities are so nice!!! It is a real ecolodge with the perfect mix of nature and everything you need to fell super comfy. The rooms are big, the apartments are complete with everything you need and everything is super clean, nice and comfortable. The place is a perfectly peaceful and natural paradise, with perfect location close enough to the city center. Please note that as a natural sanctuary you get to merge with nature, plants, natural soil and cohabit with some bugs and small animals, so it is neither dirty nor unsanitary! It is NATURAL and you are obliged to ADAPT to THEIR environment and protect yourself with repellent, instead of trying to kill everything that moves.

If there is a place that makes you feel like home, so away from it, c'est Chez Milady.

Seriously, people that had rated low Chez Milady on ANY aspect are very limited, possibly ignorant about nature, and narrow-minded. The place is as perfect as it could be.

Absolutely beautiful location! This is not a hotel. Rather, this is a lady's home with guest houses. We are travelers, not tourists. So when we travel, we like to live like the locals. If you are looking for a friendly place to stay, away from the hustle & bustle of the city, here's your place!

Really good place. As being immersed by the nature at this place, you can rest from busy city and your busy life. However, the place is not far from the Town and ferry. Thank you Chez for your help, recommedations, and nice conversations with you. Hope, see you soon!

Walk 12 minutes to town center, eco friendly, and owner has all the great tips on the islands.

Excellent accommodations for long term diving adventures and training. Quiet location with stunning sunrises. The hosting and client service is exceptional. For those seeking reasonable rates for their IDC training or Tec Rec long term stay this is the location of choice away from the distractions of Utila.

Extremely lovely and friendyl host with great advice and dedication to her guests - beautiful, green and modest place - a bit, but not too far away from the action - fantastic experience after all

Tuvimos una maravillosa estadía, tanto es así que no nos queríamos ir.
Milady es una mujer encantadora, llena de sabiduría, con la que tuvimos hermosas charlas que voy a guardar por siempre en mi corazón.
El lugar es hermoso, lleno de verde y comodidad. Muy limpio.
Disponer de cocina fue un gran plus.
Milady fue super generosa con nosotros y siempre le estaremos agradecidos.
Apenas llegamos nos llevó a hacer un recorrido por Utila mostrandónos los lugares de interés.
Sólo decir Gracias Gracias Gracias y lo súper recomiendo para hospedarse en Utila.

Excelente lugar, que es muy lindo, y con una huesped adorable. Si le gusta naturaleza, tranquilidad y arte este es el lugar. Y además con una vision ecologica en los cuartos.
Y esta à 20 minutos de la ciudad de utila.

Chez Milady es un lugar muy especial, sobretodo porque Milady lo es.
Es un lugar ecologico donde uno se siente bien recibido desde el momento de la reservacion. Ella vela porque uno la pase bien y descubra la isla con toda la magia y el encanto que Utila tiene.
Definitivamente que regresaria donde Milady para sentirme en casa, y realizar el resto de las actividades que no pude hacer.
Tiene tres lindos perros que son muy amigables, especialmente Racam que juega al coco.
Sus cuartos son muy limpios y sus camas muy confortables. es un lugar muy tranquilo donde se respira paz.
