Jackson's Dive Center

Will 100% spend a week diving with them again. Fun folks to hang out with on shore, Dennis and Tony were amazing and helpful, and Tony was very patient and never rushed any of us. He was fun to dive with, found the tiniest crabs and slugs, and knew the reefs like the back of his hand. Helped me find lion fish in a hunted out reef (great for the reef, not my dinner plate), and tried to help me with the two lion fish I speared but didn't get kill shots on. Both got away, but not his fault I didn't get the kill shots.

We did a night dive with them that was just magical. We got to play in the bio luminescence, and saw the string of pearls!

To anyone having the same doubts I had before diving with them:

Tony is a PADI certified instructor.

They aren't officially a PADI shop, but do things the PADI way.

Small boat means small groups. It was four divers and a snorkeler every trip.

Small boat also means limited to the north side. We went diving elsewhere because they could not go out in the high winds and waves.

Safety reigns supreme. We never felt remotely unsafe.

No nitrox, unfortunately.

You end up almost feeling like family at the end of the week. We were sad to leave them.

You can hang up your stuff between dive days and it gets locked up.

We went with them because the small groups sounded appealing, and after diving with them I can't imagine diving with a large group ever again. It was more relaxed, slower paced, and we weren't dodging a dozen other divers when someone spotted something and signaled it.

If they are on your list of considerations, you will have zero regrets.

Rino the owner, Tony the Dive Master and Alan the boat captain are all great. They know their stuff and they take great care of you. They will take you on some awesome dives. I highly recommend them.

Jackon’s Dive Center was professional and friendly. This dive shop was very welcoming and passionate about there work while also making you feel like family. The dive masters worked hard switching out our tanks and ensuring our needs were meet throughout our time.

We are new to diving and our open water certification at Jacksons was an amazing experience... From Liana, the owner, to Sara, our instructor, we had first class personal service... Sara was kind and patient, when I struggled with a specific skill... helped me overcome my fear of removing the mask underwater, and now I am totally confident with it... Would highly recommend this to people who want to get their certification, upgrade, or just go on amazing dives... Liana is born and raised on the island. She is authentic, kind, with an amazing sense of humour... cannot say enough about this amazing diving shop...

Jackson's is one of the best, most personalized dive shops I've used. I wanted small groups and personalized training for my girlfriend as she did her advanced open water. I definitely got that as she had her own dive instructor who was awesome and it was often just the two of us diving the best sites in Roatan.

Rino has a great team who know the dive sites intimately, are happy to answer questions between dives and are a lot of fun. My girlfriend came out the other side a much better and confident diver and it was the best dive trip of our lives. Happy to recommend these guys to anyone.

Jackson’s is at the end beaten path of West End (West End is small so that is a three minute walk from the roundabout ) but offers only small groups (small boat) and excellent service. I’m an old fat beat up rugby player and Rino and his staff accommodate me in every way possible. They get my gear on the boat and let me remove my BC in the water afterward so I can climb back in without issue. Small staff but always fun and friendly. I almost feel bad making Maddie carry my tank to the boat. Rino is the master of finding things too small for anyone who wears cheaters to see. As a local He is extremely knowledgeable about the island, the history of the reef and the West End. They are also willing to take you out if you are the only one who shows up for a dive. They are also excellent at pairing people with a dive master. If the group is of mixed ability there is someone there to take the high air users and the ones who don’t seem to breath under water. I have been diving all over the world and West End offers dive shops of all sizes with different cultures. If small and laid back is your thing Jackson’s will fit the bill.

Did a fun dive here in Jan - small laid back mom and pop dive shop with equipment available for rental and great people from the owner to the captain to the instructor. Highly recommend!

Rino and his team were some of the most welcoming dive staff we have come across. He was easy to communicate with us and accommodated us on at the last minute on Christmas Day. My son in law is still talking about the great experience he had with discover scuba as is my grandson. Thanks Rino and team, you did great and we look forward to the next visit.

Jackson's Dive Center is the most friendly place I have ever been. My wife and I were open water certified here and I am sending my sister and mother to them next month. Liana and the rest went above and beyond.

This was our second trip to Roatan and our second diving trip with Rino and his team. We had fun and felt safe diving with Rafaello, Rino and his cousin. Equipment is good and we choose when we wanted to dive.... and there are many beautiful dive sites!

Unlike most of the fancier dive shops in the West End, Jackson's offers small groups, knowledgeable staff and a focus on safety. They took the trouble of having a divemaster for each level, and there was always a divemaster leading and one taking up the rear of the small group. Jens, our divemaster and instructor, was particularly patient and helpful every step of the way. Fun and safe operation, will surely dive with them again.

I've visited the island 3 times. Everytime I was there Rino remembered me and my group by name. He is an outstanding Dive Master with all the best equipment and a great crew.

Rino, Tony and Alan have become great friends of mine on the island! I only do busuness with these guys when I come to Riatan because they take me to some great sites and they take exceptional care of their customers.
