Roatan Getaway Tours

We had a great experience with Roatan Getaway Tours. Way less expensive than a cruise line excursion, but also way better service. Our driver, Monique, was extremely attentive and informative, even pointing out points of interest along the way.

First stop was at AJ’s Monkey’s & Sloths where you get to hold sloths, birds and interact with monkeys. Then take a short ride to their dock and enjoy nearly an hour of snorkelling in beautiful water. Lots of fish, coral, shells and wildlife to admire.

Highly recommend. Great team!

We had a wonderful snorkeling tour and would definitely use these guys again. They were low-key and friendly. I really like that it is family owned. We felt safe and cared for the entire trip, and even first-timers in our group had a great time.

We booked a last minute 3-stop snorkeling tour with them and they were great! 1) Claudia gave us transportation back and forth and was lovely to talk to and on time. 2) the tour ended up being private which was nice 3) it was the best snorkeling gear I’ve actually ever used (and I’ve snorkeled a lot).

This was the highlight of our trip! Sloths, a snorkel at French Cay Marine, followed by a lunch at Roatan Famous Conch Fritters. Bob, our driver, got us to where we needed to go and was an interesting dude to talk to.

We did the three reef snorkel. Pick up was punctual and meeting place easy to find. Responded very quick to texts via WhatsApp and very helpful. The three reefs are close together, so you don't spend lots of time travelling to/from. Staff very nice and helpful. Was a great tour! Would book with them again.

Best tour we took on this vacation. We did three activities. AJ's monkeys and sloths, snorkeling and Las Palmas beach resort. The time with the sloth's was incredible. My wife and daughter were smiling from ear to ear the entire time. Who would have thought holding a sloth could bring so much happiness. The beach he took us to only had about 10 people there, it was incredible, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our group was my family of three and another family of six. Newer van with great AC, I believe our guides name was Tommy, he was very professional and helpful. Great price and VIP service.

We booked a 3-stop snorkelling trip and it was by far the best excursion we had during our week in Roatán! Philip, our guide, was super friendly, he told us so much about different species of fish during snorkelling and it was just planned perfectly - can highly recommend this company!

Fantastic driver Nick, great boat guides. Best of scuba diving of my life. So glad we went with them. Very affordable as well. A++++

Great tour of the monkeys , sloths and parrots. Then snorkeling on the reef. We had a great time. They met us outside the cruise terminal. We had a 15 min drive. Tour about 4 hours. Back on the ship on time. Highly recommended. 5 ⭐. Thank you for the great service !!

What we got was one of the most amazing days and experiences of our lives!
Owner and tour guide, Ronald, is now our friend and we are currently planning our retirement on Roatan.
I would book a cruise exclusively to stop in Roatan just to hang with Ronald and buy him all the beers.

Jim was absolutely amazing!! We booked an off shore excursion while taking a cruise that docked here. He was great on our snorkeling trip! He took time to show us SO many things. He spotted so many things my kids and I would have missed and knew tons about the sea creatures! I highly recommend any one going to Roatan book an adventure here! Well worth every penny! AMAZING adventure!

My friend and I went on a night snorkeling tour with Big Mike (captain) and Phillip (tour guide), they were absolutely wonderful and very professional. They picked us up from our hotel and took care of all the details of the tour. We were a bit nervous as it was our first time in the water at night, Phiilip guided us and helped us be calm and enjoy the tour. We saw gigantic lobsters and a bear octopus!!

I booked the wrong date for our tour and the owner was still able to get us the tour even when it was a busy day. Our driver was super friendly and informative. We got to hold sloths, have monkeys jump on our heads and get a guided snorkeling tour. Best experience of our week-long vacation!

We used this company in July and they were amazing! our driver (guide) was awesome and the dive mater who took us snorkeling was too. we did the 3 snorkel trip and then ended at the beach. About to book them again for March and excited to hire them! This time booking the all in one and can't wait!

We had a party of 10 with 5 children and our guide was amazing! He made stops for us to take pictures along the route, waited for us while we did the monkey and sloth experience, and waited while we snorkeled. We still had time left in our day and he took us to an authentic restaurant which was delicious. Out of our 7 cruises this was by far the best excursion we all had ever done. I wish I remembered our guides name because he was top notch and spoke very clear English!

They were awesome to work with! Monique was fabulous! She did extra stuff like taking us to a chocolate factory instead of just making us wait for the boat. Then she offered to take us to a local place for lunch and when our group was split on what we wanted to do she took us to lunch and then the others to the boat and then came back to the restaurant and chatted with us and answered any questions we had. It was the best part of an incredible cruise. I plan on bring my kids back soon.

Me and my two girls had a blast in Roatan chauffeured around by Monique, who was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable of the area, and stayed with us from beginning until she dropped us off at the port. She even took us to a great restaurant for some coconut shrimp and conch fritters. For the best excursion on your cruise, I recommend Roatan getaway cruise with Monique as your guide!

We had an amazing time with Jim and crew on April 10th! The excursion consisted of going to Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth Hangout which was fun and so informative. We were then taken by boat for a bit of snorkeling. That was so relaxing and we were able to view so much sea life! Jim offered to take us to a nearby beach or a local restaurant. Our group chose to go to Roatan’s Famous Conch Fritters where we were treated to a delicious Honduran lunch. I would absolutely recommend this excursion! One of the best I have been on!

Was the highlight of our cruise. The cruise lines try to make you think doing their excursions are the way to go but you really get your bang for your buck here. First off I thought we were out of our excursion because our ship had to port early because of a medical emergency and we had to go to Cozumel a day early, we didn’t buy WiFi so we really had no way to call or email the company but to my surprise we went to pick up area the next day to try our luck and they were there waiting for us even though we missed our time. There was only a group of 8 of us. Our guide Ronald who was very informal of everything we asked about Honduras took us to see the sloths, monkeys and the exotic birds. You get to interact with all the animals and take your own pictures. Next we went snorkeling and saw some really beautiful fish, non stinging jellyfish and stingrays. We have been snorkeling before but nothing was as beautiful as the reef we saw here after snorkeling I thought it was done but Ronald was nice enough to give us a 3rd option and we picked a beach. All and all awesome and you should definitely try it!
