Mares Roatan is the best Mates store that I know around the World. They have really good prices due to the volume of products they bring directly from the factory. Also they offer nice discounts to dive pros and the staff is friendly and super experienced. It is definitely a must visit when in Roatan!

Purchased 2 full kits and other gear from this store. Solid selection, and pricing is always competitive to good, often beating Amazon. There was a manufacturer defect in a gear bag and was offered a no hassle exchange, despite reasonable perception of customer abuse to item. Highly recommend.

Feb. 2023 Edit: Added another full kit, dive knife, gear bag, 2 dive computer/watches, and weights. All priced better than online retail as mentioned above. All other gear still working with no repairs or issues. Customer Service is still high quality.

Thanks to Eddie and Sergio. They are very professional and patient while you are trying to get the right equipment. Sergio took the time to set up my wife’s dove computer for her, so she can get out on the water without having to sort through the Manual.

While diving on Roatan my dive computer decided to stay in dive mode well after the dive had ended. The lady working at Mares expertly reset it for me in minutes, solving the problem. Expert, efficient, and friendly service.
