Barefoot Cay Resort

Our family just got back from spending a wonderful two weeks at Barefoot Cay. The staff at the resort are great to work with and attentive to every need. The food at the restaurant was great and they were able to customize any dishes for dietary restrictions or preference. This was our first time in Roatan and we will definitely return

This place is spectacular. The vibe, the layout, the amenities and the food just make this place amazing!!

We loved everything and could have stayed so much longer.

Other info: only 10 min drive from airport. The dive shop and staff are great. The beach is not really there (small key), but there is pavillon to the ocean which is really nice.

On an island…just off the island, gentle breeze that seemed to keep all mosquitoes away.

Peaceful, beautiful the perfect place to change your pace.

Food was excellent, dive instructor Danny was superb, Aaron the ferry operator was always ready and smooth. Short ride to the west end if you want a little more action.

This is our fifth time staying at Barefoot Cay, the staff is fabulous and the diving crew are amazing. They have made remarkable improvements under the new owner and we wouldn't imagine staying anywhere else!!

Without a doubt, one of our best vacations ever. The concierge diving made the diving stress free. The restaurant was wonderful. And the staff! Amazing and friendly.

Barefoot Cay is hands down the best Resort/Dive Center on Roatan. We cant say Thank You enough for the amazing "valet" diving provided by Danny, Ron, Kevin and Justin. But we also cant forget to mention how perfect the rest of the resort is as well. Everyone, and we say EVERYONE is so nice, helpful and willing to accommodate every need and want. The accommodations are perfect. The dining, food and restaurant are perfect. Everything is just amazing your entire stay at Barefoot Cay Resort and Dive Center.
Thank you again for another great experience and we look forward to coming back soon.

We didn't stay in the rooms but had the most delicious, fresh food! Very friendly staff & beautiful, immaculate property!

Top choice if u go to Roatan!
since the very beginning we feel like at home. Our appartment has 1 big and superconfortable  bedroom and 1 toilet, fully  equiped,  with a great  kitchen fully. They were taking care of us in every moment, specially Pamela, Melissa,mickey, the barman,the cheff and the owner of the restaurant (she offers a delicious gingerbeer for wellcome cockteil) we're so pleased for all U've done for us. The bed was superconfortable (I've slept for 12 h) and all the appartment was great, very well decorated with spectacular views to the beach
We've spend the most of the time in our villa with pool! It's amazing. We've been taking such a good pictures of the views, even at night time. The weather was not as nice as we spected, bus we' ve tried some flights with our drone. I hope you like them.
All the staff was superfriendly, they prepare great smoothies. We have to come back, for sure! Thanks a lot to Barefoot CayResortt!

We stopped at Barefoot Cay for lunch and drinks. The owner was so nice and friendly. She took the time to show us the entire island. We walked around and looked at the beautiful room suites and the wonderful pool area. It has an enclosed dock for a 100ft yacht and also a 150 Pier for fishing and swimming. The restaurant was fantastic great food great service. We also had some cocktails from the bar. We spent a wonderful afternoon on Barefoot Cay. Highly recommend.

An absolutely 5-star experience. I had a food allergy reaction that was entirely my fault and they quickly reacted and moved to replace the meal with something else that was absolutely delicious and divine.
The dive shop is also one of the finest spots in Roatán for diving with the south side spots all lined up and close by. Overall a fantastic experience!
The spot is beautiful. Just a bit on the pricey side if you’re looking for something on the budget-friendly side.

Big rooms. Friendliest staff. Very clean. Best diving instructors. Outstanding restaurant... I could go on and on. BUT do not expect big same beach... it is more a key.

They were remodeling while we were there so there was noise, but the rooms were beautiful, well appointed, and clean. The plantation shutters on the windows made a soothing whistle sound in the wind, and the beachy decor was spot on. The pool and the bar were beautiful also with travertine pavers, comfy, substantial furniture, and more shutters. The restaurant was great with friendly people and wonderful food. Be sure you like garlic before ordering. I would return in an instant

Absolutely love barefoot cay! This was our second visit and I swear, the staff just gets nicer every visit! Great personal service in an intimate setting. There is also a world class dive shop attached to this resort that exceeded our expectations with fantastic service and safety.

Barefoot Cay is such a beautiful place! We got a shuttle from the airport, and were immediately welcomed. The resort is private and very small, it’s the perfect place for some leave and quiet. We stayed in the small cabins on the beach. They were wonderful! The service here was amazing, better than any place we have ever stayed. I highly recommend! The food is pricey but it’s worth it.

An amazing place where the staff make you feel welcome and as if you are the only person on this little island escape. Best diving like Mary’s Place was literally a 5 minute boat ride compared to traveling from the west side of the island for an hour. I literally laid in my hammock at my little villa AFTER a 2 tank dive and would watch as 40 divers daily would ascend on Mary’s place. It was right there!
I was done already by the time they got there.
Gary the GM and an entire staff of incredible people are doing an excellent job with the casual luxury concept. We’ll be back! On second thought, this place is terrible and make sure you don’t go and take all the reservations.

Warm friendly staff, large, sparkling clean bungalows with perfect views, comfy beds, and great coffee! On-site restaurant is competing with great diving for the favorite part of our trip. We highly recommend this resort and restaurant for a romantic getaway and or dive vacation!

Barefoot Cay exceeded our expectations on every level. Planning and booking our holiday was effortless thanks to Stephanies' willingness to answer lots of questions and emails. Once we arrived we felt as though we were in a world unto itself populated with the most attentive and accommodating staff I have encountered in a life time of upscale travel (The Breakers, The Greenbriar, Silver Seas cruises, multiple Four Seasons, Cirigan Palace etc) We cannot say enough about the lovely people that took such extraordinary care of us at both the resort (Joel, Luisa, Sumare, Carlos, Matthew) and the dive shop (Derry, Jason,Alejandra, Tony, Tex)
Our villa (Fuchsia) was well appointed, comfortable and maintained beautifully. Sitting on our veranda overlooking the beach and the ocean, listening to the waves was heavenly. Strolling the lush grounds you really feel as though you are on a private island - which, in fact, you are.
The restaurant was charming. The table settings were a lovely frame for appetizing meals from a surprisingly diverse menu.
The diving was spectacular and if that wasn't enough the valet diving experience was like magic. Every dive our gear was set up and waiting for us on the boat. We felt safe underwater and pampered on the surface.
Barefoot Cay offers exceptional value for an unforgettable tropical vacation. I should stop gushing or they'll raise their exceedingly reasonable rates ;)

Very low key. Great staff that is well trained on completely unobtrusive service. Very private and small (about 35 max). Three daily scheduled dives from the shop. Good food. Decent snorkling from the palapa dock.
