This store needs to decide once and for all whether the counter at the front of the shop is an overflow for the post office or not. Some days there is a lovely lady in the store who says "is that a return, can i take it for you?", other days, computer says no. Today computer said no because "there are two people on duty in the post office". That wasn't the case, poor Andy (who is a hero) was on his own and the queue quickly grew to 10 deep. When I asked again at the front of the store for a reminder of when the counter in the store is and isn't open, I was told they probably hadn't realised there was only one person working in the PO. It seems to have required too much initiative to see there was a huge queue in the Post Office and perhaps they could help out. When I flagged it (to someone from the Management Team) no one sprang into action. Even if there had been 2 people in the Post Office the shop could have offered to help out as (2 staff in the shop and a 3rd on lunch break) - they weren't busy. Not sure what the set up / relationship is between the store and the post office, but if you're going to imply you take parcels at the front of the shop, don't pick and choose when or who it suits. @Morrisons - if the change from a newsagent to a convenience store is an attempt to get more people stopping in for basics rather than Waitrose, Sainsburys or M&S, better customer service might help.

Joke of a service. Refused to allow me to pay my electric bill using the barcode on my billing app (never heard of paperless billing?) then sent me down for a 20 minute wait at the post office who don’t have a pay point machine. The post office sent me back to the front desk where the pay point machine is situated and the woman again refused and muttered to the next customer when we left “I ain’t scanning that”. First attempt at using this place. Avoid.

The only Post Office Counter in Fleet is situated at the back of McColls Newsagents The Post Office hours include Saturday Service until 1pm. Why then, on a Saturday 25th Sept, at 11.55am, was a imposing man stood in the aisle telling Post Office customers the Post Office was closed? We were redirected to the front of the store where there was a tiny P.O. desk but the woman assistant there said she was only taking in return parcels and nothing else. No chance of posting a registered or recorded letter then, or using any other P.O. service for that matter. I queried why the Post Office Counter was not available and the woman behind the counter gave no explanation other than to continually repeat ‘that Office is closed’. An utter disgrace. The Fleet Post Office Counter Service, Saturday opening hours, state 9am - 1pm. The cynic in me wonders whether, due to McColls Newsagents Saturday hours also stating ‘closes at 1pm’, that the Fleet Post Office customers exceed the closing time and do not allow the man in charge to close the shop dead on 1pm. Or is it, perhaps, the Post Office staff need a further half hour or so, following P.O. Counter service closing, to reconcile and sign off the day’s, business. (Or, half a day’s business on a Saturday). Either way, Fleet Post Office Saturday Counter Service opening hours are not being honoured. If it’s a problem for McColls Newsagents to accommodate the Fleet Post Office’s stated Saturday opening hours, I suggest removing the Post Office Counter Service from this shop and placing it in another store who will be more obliging to the customers it is supposed to serve. Personally, I try not to use the McColls Newsagents attached Post Office unless I have to. The Post Office staff are brilliant and are always very helpful, but there are certain members of McColls Newsagent staff that really make you feel like you are a nuisance and not welcome.

The post office was slow, but all post offices are so that's no big deal. My main issue was the older tomboy lady, with short hair on the tills in the shop. I walked up to the kiosk politely said hello, wanting to buy something. She just lifted her head up to look at me, then looked back down at her paperwork and continued working for a few minutes; just blanking me before I walked out. I was ghosted!!! First time in my life. Would not recommend going in if she's working. Post office staff were (slow but) friendly though so please don't let my review of the shop staff put you off posting items.

Tried to get in the shop in Fleet today only to be confronted by a brusk man asking what i wanted? I then asked if they greeted all their potential customers this way. I explained that I wanted to buy a drink (it was very hot today). The customer experience left a lot to be desired so I decided to spend my money elsewhere. If this is how they treat their customers I can see how they get their reviews.

Sunday mornings always the worst they put a man on who cannot use any of the devices like the card machine the queue gets longer waiting for him. Had real problems getting replacement bags off them even though it says so on the bag they said they did not know that.
