Austins Toy Store

Great selection of toys at reasonable prices. The kids love it, and they stock all the must-have toys as well as some more obscure but quality items. Must have been here many dozens of times, and we still love it (even if it does empty my wallet!)

The store is a lovely place to visit with the children, whether browsing or buying. The stock is always great and clearly organised into ages and brands/types of toys and games.

Generally, the prices can be slightly higher than online stores but if you're happy to pay the difference it's worthwhile; being able to see the items in person and having polite and helpful staff makes a great experience. There are often sales and special offers.

The store (Austins) has also been round for a long time so it's a good incentive to keep a local business going.

Extremely good selection of toys and games. Very competitive prices. Well worth a visit.

Love this toy store! So much better to actually touch and feel the products you are buying than buying online. Beautifully laid out store with great variety of toys, models etc. Helpful and friendly young staff who seem to like their job. I would highly recommend this store.

Love Austins.Lovely staff and great shop. So good to be able to look at the toys and walk around the shop and know what you are buying instead of looking at pictures which tell you nothing . Prices are good. Wish there were more toyshop like this one.

Good range of toys. Lots of space. Our granddaughter loved it! She especially liked the Lego Station where she could play.

Austins is the family run "superstore" in the heart of Newton Abbot. The Toy Store is comprehensively stocked with a large range of competitively priced (as are all Austins departments) products, and all quality toys like Lego. Service is the usual Austins high standard.

Pleasure to shop here, most independent toy shops are dark musty places, not this one it's departmental store feel is classy clean and organised particularly after it's refurb a couple of years ago. You can easily find what you're after and prices seem to have become more competitive. It was busy this Saturday gone, but it's Christmas after all, you can still be served quickly enough and there were no stock issues. A credit to Newton.

Toy stores are quite as rarety these days. We love to Visit Austins when we can get to Newton Abbott to find suitable grandkid's toys. A good range of quality toys grouped by type and age. Don't forget the model of Thomas the Tank Engine running around above you. Just press the button.

good old fashioned you shop which is hard to find these days. part of Austin's who are independents. it does get pretty busy on Saturdays as you'd expect but fantastic selection covering preschool, toddlers, children, teens and grown up kids too!

Love this local toy shop that is situated in the shadow of Newton Abbots clocktower. The range of toys is extensive and can order for you if out of stock, the staff and customer service is excellent.
