Homebase - Newton Abbot

I went to Newton Abbot Homebase yesterday and there was a woman working on the floor with blonde hair, she was wearing long shorts and pink socks I think! I didn't get her name but she was SO helpful, she could see I was carrying too many things so took them off me and put them on the till ready for me to pay later. As I was looking for something specific she took me to the area and helped me choose the right product for what I was working on. Such a super helpful, friendly and lovely employee, great job!

Would like to say what a pleasure to shop here , every member of staff we spoke to were very helpful and want to say a shout out to lee who went above and beyond with helping us after buying a gazebo from the shop floor which he had to take down and gave me tips on putting it back up , thank you lee we got it up in 3 hours and love it .

Such a friendly helpful lady today in your garden centre department , her name was Sue. She nows her job and nothing is too much trouble. , you have a valued member of staff their.

Great shop, staff very helpful and well stocked shop. Garden section very knowledgeable and put my problems right.

The wife and i purchased an 8 piece garden dining set and arranged to collect the next day as it would not fit in car. Gentleman by the name of Lee was giving us all the info and the way he dealt with us was fantastic. His info about goods was what helped us make our minds to buy the items. Due to having recent surgery I would have been unable to get it in van and on roof bars. Lee told me to look for him when I returned on Sunday and he would sort it for me.
True to his word Lee unpacked it and got it all in my van as agreed.
He is a credit to your newton abbot store and I wish to point out to your managers how helpful Lee was.

Love homebase & it would be a shame if it were to close down like many others have. Great range & better priced than other DIY stores. Came home with 2 bargain baskets & a mouse sander, £20.

Great place to shop for all your house hold needs. Very well planned and clean layout of the store . Very nice good quality products, very friendly knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very caring. It's a great place to shop. Yes 10 out of 10 . I will be back many many times. Thankyou for all your assistance. !!!

Well stocked store and found all needed.the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.puts b@q for stock and service well down the list hence why i travelled further afield.👍👍

I had a fault with a product and sent a message to online customer services. Amy from the Newton Abbot branch phoned me to discuss this and very kindly offered help. She provided excellent customer service and completely resolved my issue. I could not have asked for a better experience, really glad to have been served by Amy! Thank you

Very helpful staff when looking for something that we had checked was in stock online but not on the shelf in store. She was able to find the missing Vertex expansion strips for us in a friendly professional manner

Homebase has a bit of everything for your home and garden. Wide selection of paints, wood, doors & door furniture, storage solutions, plants, pots, composts, decorative stones/chippings, garden sheds/storage units, fence posts/panels, concrete and cement mixes, paving slabs/stepping stones, garden furniture and much more. Most is located on the easily accessible ground floor and aisles are not too narrow. Disabled parking close to the entrance and easy access for wheelchair/mobility scooter users. The Garden Centre is located at the end of the far left side. A selection of indoor plants are just inside the entrance on the left side. If you are looking for something specific and unsure where to look, ask a member of staff - there are a few floating around the store and all are very helpful, also ask for assistance with heavy/awkward goods. The First Floor I will venture to another time but has a wide selection of kitchens, bathrooms and much more. As with many large retailers, the biggest drawback is finding 1 or 2 checkouts open. Overall, spacious, well laid out and helpful staff.

The staff brilliant and more than just helpful .they go the extra mile

Very friendly staff. Online order collection was easy but item collected was not the same as ordered. Fully compensated during our return visit and was sympathetic to the distance we had to travel on both visit as this was the nearest store to us. Highly recommended.

Aaron was very helpful and gave ús exactly what we had come in to buy..
The staff knew which aisles to point us in for the items we wanted.
Overall a pleasant shopping experience.

Went in at 8am to post a parcel. Immediately noticed the cute Christmas display and decided to have a quick look around. Came out with a Xmas air freshener, door mat and a Britney singing flamingo!
Store was very tidy, staff were friendly and helpful and they had some great bargains.
Opening hours 8-8 on a weekday ✅

Very kind lady helped me with DIY wallpapering purchases - walked me through everything I needed, which papers could be pasted on and which were wall paste only, ect.
Made a stressful experience much better.
