Was served by a really nice guy called Zeke. He was friendly and knowledgeable. There were no queues so he was chatty too. Which was nice. Anyway... I found there were lots of offers in here of affordable CDs and DVDs. I didn’t check the vinyl out, but it’s there...

Helpful staff, lots of fun bits to tempt you with. Good selection of music, and DVDs.

HMV is such an enjoyable shop for all ages and you just have to walk around the aisles to see why. Such a happy place with so much to find and buy in one shop.

Fabulous selection of films, CDs, t-shirts etc for (mainly) reasonable prices. Wish there was still one in Woking!

UPDATE APRIL 2023:
Very pleased to have an HMV back in WOKING (just opened) but still love Guildford one also, where my son and I managed to buy 6 CDs for about £17 due to fantastic sale prices!

Some great products like records and t shirts available here, Amongst other items. Came here for headphones and got what I was looking for. Staff were friendly and didn't have to queue long at all

A better selection of reggae than Woking still needs more though

Great experience, haven't been in one for a while but was impressed with what they had and some great deals too.. will come again.. how expensive is vinyl now...!! 2 for £40! Wow, 25yrs ago you couldn't give some of this trash away..🙄

A good selection of CD, DVD, vinyl records, and accessories to help play music. Staff very helpful. Can get online orders delivered here although not sure its any faster. Location in town.

I love this store so much. A big great selection of films, games, music etc. The staff seem to be very knowledgeable with the products they sell and they look enthusiastic

What can you say about HMV. It doesn't have ANY competition left on the high street now. Because all other shops are either massively scaling back or just stopping selling physical media altogether. HMV prices are not always the most competitive, but just wait a while and get it on a deal. The CD prices for new albums I see dropping sharply so unless you absolutely must hear that album that day it really pays to wait it out. The staff in general seem genuinely passionate about physical media and that is what could and should keep HMV afloat in these miserable times of just glibly trash-streaming everything. Honestly, do YOU want to live in a world where you can no longer walk into a shop and browse the CDs and blu-rays?? I certainly don't.

I like going to hmv because it's the best shop going to.
