Cotswold Outdoor Ambleside

Good range of clothing and accessories. Purchased a pair of gloves and was served by a lovely lady who asked if I was a National Trust member as I’d get discount if I was. I had no idea they offered this and would’ve just paid full price had she not prompted. Great service from the staff and would return again.

Lovely garden centre featuring many different outlets. Staff really friendly and helpful. Parking is great and they really do have some beautiful items for sale pottery books kitchen gadgets Pavers shoes and even a pet store. Would highly recommend a visit.

The perfect stop to pick up anything you forgot before you hit the trail! Dan was wonderfully helpful and got us kitted out with new boots, packs, and maps. A little pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality!

Hidden away in a garden centre actually made a visit to a garden centre worthwhile! Excellent selection on 2 levels, sale items were decent. Well worth a visit, prices are average for the Windermere riviera and staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

After walking 20km around lake Windermere, my partner and I both had really bad back/shoulder pain. Seeing as we still had around 60km to go over the next few days, we really needed to sort this out. Luckily we got into Ambleside just before this wonderfully located shop closed. There we found a very welcoming member of staff called Arlen who we asked if our are backpacks were fitted correctly. Suprise, surprise, they were not. Our hip straps were in completely the wrong place and one of our load straps wasn't even attached correctly! Arlen wonderfully fixed us up in no time and we were both astonished at how much better our backs felt (and also how silly we'd been). Thank you Arlen for being so helpful - we may yet survive the rest of our trip!

Great staff, great atmosphere. My children were greatly looked after and supported during their wall climb and it was fab to observe their session from the cafe. Coffee was excellent here too

I purchased a pair of walking boots from here. The gentleman who served me was very knowledgeable and recommended boots to my needs taking measurements of my feet. It was a very good service and i am happy with my purchase.

Great advice as ever, even with a wee bit of humour. Always find Cotswold to have brilliant staff and high quality range. At this outlet you even have a massive garden centre to enjoy and a great cafe!!

Very big centre with a wide range of different stores for garden, clothes, toys food and more. The Xmas display is worth taking the little ones to as Well.

Well worth a visit if visiting Ambleside,Good stop of point between Ambleside pier, and the village of Ambleside. Large garden centre /ample parking /excellent cafe great for kids.

Hidden away in a quiet corner of the Hayes Garden World behemoth, this little Cotswold is always worth a visit. It may be small but there's a lot of stuff in there, usually with some good offers on too.
